“Unbelievable location, wonderful property, a must-stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

This parador is really unique. You stay in a historic building, in a location that could not be better (right in the Alhambra), the rooms are very nice, the views from the room are soothing, the food is very good. This parador is a dream-come-true. An unforgettable experience.
Tip: go for the Alhambra Night experience, which gives you admission to almost all places you can visit during the day, but without the crowds. Ask the front desk. UNFORGETTABLE!!!

It was planed as a lifetime exsperience. Slightly overpriced but location is everything. So if you want to spoil yourself with the special experience to stay in an old convent right in the middle of the Alhambra this is the place. The service and food is exellent as one will expect in a hotel like this

if you are visiting la Alhambra then this is definitely the place to stay (if you can afford it) as there could not be a better location! You have views to the Generalife, delicious food (breakfast and dinner), modern rooms and welcoming staff. If you do would rather not have dinner in the hotel (though I highly recommend the food) you can go to one of the "carmens" and eat there as it is round the corner to the entrance of the Alhambra.

Where else can you stay on the grounds of a 13th century place? In a restored convent filled with antiques and history? Wander around at night, under a full moon? We loved this place, it was our splurge for the Spain trip, but well worth it. We stayed 2 nights in a room in the old wing, overlooking the pool and grounds. The room was enormous and very clean. It was well-stocked with modern amenities, turn-down service, fluffy towels, comfy beds, and a large bathroom. The breakfast buffet, while pricey, was extensive and delicious; you can sit outside on the patio overlooking the Alhambra grounds, with St. Nicholas and the Generalife in the distance. Even if you don't stay there, at least go for lunch, or coffee, or a drink - the food is as delicious as the view. Pros - all, cons - none. For us this was a one-of-a-kind experience and I strongly recommend it!

What an experience to stay in a wonderfully restored old convent right in the heart of the Alhambra. We stayed 2 nights here and 2 nights at the Albaycin.

The Parador offers very comfortable modern rooms with great views of the city and the Alhambra. Beautiful grounds and just so wonderful to be able to walk around and view the Alhambra at any time of day or night. The terrace outside the restaurant offers an amazing view of Generalife and the Summer Palace.

Staff are very helpful and always happy to offer advise and arrange bookings you may need.

Breakfast is excellent and so was the dinner that we had there.

Highly recommended even if just for 1 night. Immerse yourself in its beauty.

We didn't stay here, but came for an early lunch on the terrace while we were in the complex. The "very good" is for the location and view; the food was all right (the eggplant fries with honey don't taste anything like eggplant), and comparatively expensive. Service was poor. But if you have time for a leisurely lunch, you can't beat the view.
