Where else can you stay on the grounds of a 13th century place? In a restored convent filled with antiques and history? Wander around at night, under a full moon? We loved this place, it was our splurge for the Spain trip, but well worth it. We stayed 2 nights in a room in the old wing, overlooking the pool and grounds. The room was enormous and very clean. It was well-stocked with modern amenities, turn-down service, fluffy towels, comfy beds, and a large bathroom. The breakfast buffet, while pricey, was extensive and delicious; you can sit outside on the patio overlooking the Alhambra grounds, with St. Nicholas and the Generalife in the distance. Even if you don't stay there, at least go for lunch, or coffee, or a drink - the food is as delicious as the view. Pros - all, cons - none. For us this was a one-of-a-kind experience and I strongly recommend it!

What an experience to stay in a wonderfully restored old convent right in the heart of the Alhambra. We stayed 2 nights here and 2 nights at the Albaycin.

The Parador offers very comfortable modern rooms with great views of the city and the Alhambra. Beautiful grounds and just so wonderful to be able to walk around and view the Alhambra at any time of day or night. The terrace outside the restaurant offers an amazing view of Generalife and the Summer Palace.

Staff are very helpful and always happy to offer advise and arrange bookings you may need.

Breakfast is excellent and so was the dinner that we had there.

Highly recommended even if just for 1 night. Immerse yourself in its beauty.

We didn't stay here, but came for an early lunch on the terrace while we were in the complex. The "very good" is for the location and view; the food was all right (the eggplant fries with honey don't taste anything like eggplant), and comparatively expensive. Service was poor. But if you have time for a leisurely lunch, you can't beat the view.

If your visiting the alhambra this is the best place to stay right in the centre
if you can find the alhambra you will find this hotel
