“Albero”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Clean comfortable hotel, with very friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was very adequate and the wifi reception was much better than that in hotels we stayed in that were a lot more expensive. Well placed for bus ride into Granada and we had a very pleasant meal in the restaurant just down the road.

Cheap and cheerful hotel on the outskirts of town. Pretty close to the Alhambra, but good bus links into the city itself. Staff were extremely helpful, and I can't thank them enough for their assistance.

The hotel is a fair way out of town in a quiet area near Allambra Palace. A taxi ride from Granada station was 10 euro but number 33 bus runs regularly into town from nearby for a fraction of that cost. Our room was a good size and very comfortable and reception staff went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Wifi was free and a simple breakfast was available for about 4 euro.I would highly recommend this hotel for people looking for good value for money.

The hotel is simple, clean, and very well located. It's only 4 ,minutes to Alhambra by car. The room vas very clean, Wifi at a very hi-speed, the breakfast simple but good. It is really a bargain. I stayed with my husband and my two kids, they setup two single beds for the boys (very comfortable beds). if we ever come back to Granada would definitely stay here again. Less than 80 euros for one night, 4 people and breakfast!

We came by car and stayed for two nights. We parked for free in front of the hotel and then went to Granada by bus (10' ride, €1,20 per person, bus every 10 min). The owners speak English and are very very helpful. The breakfast was simple but sufficient (can you ask more for €3,80?). The room was very clean and the Internet connection worked properly. I recommend this place!

Very friendly, english-speaking owner. The hotel is in the residential area of Granada, the parking is free on the neighborhood's street and there's a bus to the city center in a 5 minutes walking distance.

We booked for one night at Albero to visit Alhambra. Hotel Albero was easy to find and Alhambra a short drive up the hill, well signed too. For Alhambra ignore the cowboys willing you to park in a field before the official sites and note that the first car parks (numbered 4) inside the barrier are the ones furthest from the entrance proper. Go early and you could park closer (number 1). Drinks and snacks in vending machines are reasonably priced (1 Euro for machine coffee). It was remarkably easy to find, park and negotiate Alhambra (perhaps a lot of steps which could be a problem).
We parked on the street for Albero. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the room was comfortable, clean and worth more than the 40 Euros asked. No coffee/tea though. Continental breakfast was good for 3 Euros . We ate dinner at Albanta restaurant, where a two course meal, with drinks and coffee cost 47 Euros for two, about 50 yards from the hotel.
We can happily recommend Albero for visits to Granada city and Alhambra.
