We picked this hotel due to other posts and we couldn't have been more pleased. We were in Rm. 10 that previous posters said was noisy, but we didn't notice any more noise than what would be expected. The room was very nicely appointed and had a fantastic view of the Alhambra. The hotel public spaces are very nicely appointed and realy add to the experience. After touring the city, we found that the hotel was in the best location to tour all the popular sites. Some of the best restaurants are within a few minutes walking distance and it was a close walk to the Alhambra (though the walk back is much easier). We felt as safe walking back to the hotel late at night as we do in our own city. Several of the nearby restaurants have late night dining outdoors overlooking the Alhambra. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was the best and largest selection that we had in Spain, worth the extra money. We would definitely return to this hotel and have recommended this hotel to others.

We stayed in the Mirador room on the 3rd floor. It has an awesome view of the Alhambra, even from the bathroom. The hotel is very clean and in a great location. The only down side is that if you are driving, it is hard to find. You have to drive into a restricted area and we had a tough time finding it. Once you are there it is beautiful and a great place to stay!

We stayed at Casa Morisca on Thursday the 18th of May 2006 and the following Friday night.

I drove to Granada from the Marbella area. When I approached the city I followed the maps and directions provided at the time of my booking. The directions were easy to follow and within 10 minutes of entering the city we had parked the car in the underground carpark at the end of the street from the hotel. Reviews that I have read have stated that it is very difficult to find. From my experience absolutely not.
Simply head to The Plaza Nueva and from there follow the road straight ahead for about 500 metres and the Hotel is on the left about 10 metres up a side street opposite from a number of restaurants with tables and chairs situated on the right hand side of the road.
There is limited car parking outside the hotel, however when I enquired at the reception the man on duty came with me and assisted me in parking the car in the underground car park at the top of the street only 15 metres away from the hotel.

The room we stayed in was simply furnished but perfectly comfortable and spotlessly clean. I have read reviews complaining about noise from outside the hotel. We did not experience any disturbances whatsoever and found the location to be very tranquil.
The hotel is in a great location. Only 5 minutes walk to the Plaza Nueva where there are numerous Bodegas, Restaurants etc. A great restaurant in the Albacin which the hotel booked for me is La Terrazas de Tomasses. It has great food and spectacular views of the Alhambra.
Overall a fantastic two nights in Granada at a lovely hotel that I highly recommend.

I will be going back.

Just got back from three nights at the wonderful Casa Morisca..what can we say the setting, the hotel, the staff...all absolutely first class.

I cannot believe that there is a better location to stay whilst in Granada, it is in the 'old' but best part of the city and the Alhambra is on a hill directly above the hotel.

The hotel recommended both restaurants and bars that were superb and even booked our visit to the mightily impressive Alhambra.

The room although on the smallish side, was very comfortable and had all the amenities, we required.

Breakfast room is splendid, although there could have been a bigger selection at the buffet style breakfast but this really is a quible rather than a complaint.

We paid 110 Euros per night plus b/fast at 10 Euros pp, which we felt was terrific value for the standard.

Ana, who manages the hotel for a big portion of the day & night, is probably the most helpful & friendly person you could wish to meet, and she speaks wonderful English and even understood my 'schoolboy' Spanish !

We can't recommend the Casa Morisca enough, and if we get the chance would certainly return in the future.

Rob & Maria H.
