Good service level all round. Check-in smooth, friendly and helpful.
Breakfast wasn't included in our stay.

Room was a very good size and the bathroom was a good size.

The quality of fittings and furnishings was of a high standard and comparable to a 4 star establishment.

The room was a decent size and had no odours, which in chain-smoking Spain is an achievement IMHO.

The central location naturally comes with the downside of being a little on the noisy side, especially around midnight. But this is Spain - lively!

Would stay there again.

Some rooms have balconies that overlook the square below and offer great views of the Alhambra above on the hill overlooking Granada.

This wonderful little rose-colored hotel fronts right on the Plaza Nueva. The front rooms have tiny balconies with a perfect view of the Plaza, the fountain, and the medieval church of Santa Ana. The Alhambra looms over the Plaza, and the nightly view from the balcony of the moon rising over the Alhambra was priceless. The owners are very friendly and helpful, even advising me on which local wines to try when I was out. (When I came back unexpectedly two weeks later for just one night, I was greeted as an old friend and given an "old friend" rate, as well!
How much nicer can an owner be?) The building is 200 years old, but the hotel has been modernized, so it boasts carved wooden ceilings and narrow marble stairs as well as an elevator, absolutely modern and spotless bathrooms, and new furnishings, mattresses, draperies, etc.
There are a number of cafes in the plaza, but the heavy windows and thick drapes keep noise to a minimum while the AC keeps you comfortable. I slept like a baby, even on the noisiest night (Saturday), and I'm a light sleeper. Breakfast was good. Juices, fruits, cereals and breads are laid out buffet style, and the staff will insist on making you whatever kinds of eggs and ham/bacon you like. I can't think of one negative thing to say about this hotel, it is one of my favorite in the world, and excellent value for the price.
