We stayed in the sister hotel for 1 night and here for 3 nights.but liked this much better.
You` can leave your car in the sister hotel for 16 Euros a day. The loctation is superb being central but also flat with no climbing. It is 50 yrds to the Arabic Steam Baths and only a few euros to the Alhambra.if you dont want to walk there. They booked the Flamenco Show in the Caves for us and the breakfast although extra was lovely and fresh. Internet is free. I would definately go again. We stayed on the side in case it was noisy so it was quiet .

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Plaza Neuva and had a great time.

We had a good sized room with an enormous bathroom. The room was nicely furnished with dark wood furniture which gave it a homely feel so often missing with more modern chain hotels. Our room was at the back of the hotel which meant we did not have any views of the square or Alhambra although it was quiet - and our stay included a Friday night.

The real plusses with this hotel are the location and friendly staff.

There are a number of excellent tapas bars behind the hotel, frequented by locals and a great selection of Moroccon tearooms if you fancy something different. We found the quality of food in this area to be far better and more authentic than the cathedral area.

The staff were very friendly and they always remembered our room number - although perhaps that had someting to do with my appaling Spanish!

We had a lovely time staying four nights at the Hotel Plaza Nueva. We got a very good deal booking through booking.com. I had emailed the hotel directly but didn't get an answer - we had a better deal as it turned out anyway. We asked for rooms with a view of the Plaza Nueva and had both of these rooms on the 2nd floor - for us and our daughter. They were comfortable with big bathrooms, two big single beds together rather than a double, but otherwise perfect. Great views of the Alhambra, the plaza and the life of the town. It wasn't too noisy, although there were people crossing the plaza at most hours of the day and night.

We didn't have breakfast in the hotel - it was quite expensive at 12 € and anyway it was nicer to go out and have breakfast in a café: churros and hot chocolate one morning in the plaza Bib Rambla, and a typical Spanish breakfast of tomato and olive oil on toasted bread in a café on the corner of the plaza Nueva the other mornings.

There was free internet connection in the breakfast room of the hotel, but no wifi in the rooms.

The location of the hotel is fantastic - views of the Alhambra from the balconies, taxis always available outside, the bus to Sacremonte goes from opposite the hotel, the bus to the Alhambra from another smaller plaza about 100 metres away. Easy walking to the Albaicin and and uphill walk to the Alhambra.

We would definitely stay here again.

We visited this hotel for a 3 night stay as we wanted to be close to the Albaicin area of the city. The location is excellent and close to all the cafes, restaurants and teterias of the Albaicin. We had asked for a view of the Alhambra during our booking request because the hotel faces across the Plaza Nueva and over to the Alhambra. We had a beautiful and spacious room at the front of the hotel with views of the Alhambra. We even had a small balcony which was perfect of people-watching. The only downside to the location is that it can get a bit noisy at night as the Spanish like to party well into the early hours. The best solution is to either do the same or pack a sturdy pair of ear plugs. We didn't really see this as a problem and it certainly didn't affect our stay. Granada is a beautiful city and this hotel was excellent value.
