“Cave dwelling museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2014

Easy to get here by bus in the daytime. Entrance to the caves museum has moved due a land slip so be prepared for a steep path and some steps. Good view of Alhambra and lots of caves, each with differing contents to show a typical home, stables, pottery studio, textiles etc. also displays concerning geology, ecology and the background of flamenco.

“Sacromonte walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2014

Went for a long walk in this Gitano (gypsy) district full of cacti and cave dwelling with whitewashed entrances. Recommend visiting the Sacromonte Museum for a taste of gypsy life in the cave dwellings.

“Great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

Definitely a long-ish hike to the bottom of the mountain. Went to the top of Sacromonte twice - the first on a free guided tour in the evening and saw the sunset, the second with friends in early afternoon. Both times was a fantastic view. Cool to see the graffiti and look at the houses. An interesting cultural experience and more "real" Spain because there are not so many tourists around. You have a great view of Alhambra and if you make it to the top where the church is, you can walk around to the back of the church and see the Sierra Nevadas.

“Sacromonte”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

We took the no. 35 bus up to the top as we could not walk far, then stayed on it to descend to the amazing museum. The gardens here are also worth spending some time in.

“Beautiful views, cave dwellings and countryside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2014

A walk along the streets of Sacramonte is well worthwhile and very beautiful. The traditional cave houses are interesting. There are several places to stop for a drink or food. Walking along the main Camino del Sacramonte into the countryside shows a more rural, traditionally Spanish side of Granada unlike the city centre or the Albayzin. Very enjoyable!
