I travelled with my partner to Hotel Parraga Siete, having already stayed here last summer. The hotel is charming and has that boutique style feel. The interior design is contemporary and clean. Whilst most of the staff do not speak much English this did not cause any problems. We speak a little Spanish and it's great to experience being in Spain and making an effort to communicate.
Reception is very small but friendly and efficient. We checked in in less than 2 minutes and were given the free wi-fi code without having to ask for it. There is complimentary water and juice available in reception too.
We were given the same room as the last time we stayed (26 on the second floor). The room overlooks the street at the front but was not at all noisy, apart from the church bells which we heard occasionally. The bed was very comfortable. A few things could improve the bedroom: there are no drawers to store clothes in. There is one hard chair in the room (an armchair would be better), the TV has no English channels not even CNN. Other than that these are not major drawbacks.
The bathroom is a good size and there is a shower but no bath. One annoying niggle is that you can't have the bathroom light on without the lights over the clothes hanging space in the main bedroom. Also, there are very thin curtains at the bathroom window which means at night the occupants opposite on the other side of the street could probably see in if the bathroom light was on!
A nice touch is the delivery of a complimentary bottle of mineral water each evening to the room.
We tried to order room service late one afternoon but were told that the kitchens were closed until 8pm - this was not made clear in the in room directory of hotel services, and for a hotel I would have expected room service to be available all day.
The small bar downstairs is friendly but was very busy on both the Friday and Saturday evenings we were there. The restaurant attached to the bar is again clean and modern and the service was excellent as was the food.
We would definitely stay here again as it is in a great location in central Granada, easy to get to once you know the route in, and the car parking is a 5 minute walk away in the public Victoria Car Park.
