We booked in here after realising our original booking the Saray was too far out of the city to be useful. From the moment we got there the service was excellent. Really helpful staff. Granada is heaving noisy and hot. The hotel is a real lifesaver. The courtyard is amazing and you can't hear the bustle of Gran via de Colon.
Staff were helpful in reserving La Alhambara tickets for us. Whilst we were in the Saray, the Saray staff suggested we take a taxi to the ticket office to get tickets for the following day, or surprise surprise take their 3 times more expensive excustion package !!!
We had our 9 month old with us and the room was big enough for our queen size bed and a crib. The bathroom with double sink was stunning. We used room service numerous time to get hot water and hot milk for her feeds. They always arrived in 5 minutes and we were never charged for the hot milk. We had tea bags with us (no tea & coffee in room) and used extra water to make us tea. Eventually room service started leaving us tea cups !!
The free mini bar is not to be sniffed at. Although only two alcoholic drinks in it, I reckon at bar prices there are €20-25 of drinks in it.
The restaurnat is excellent but a little pricey for the portions sizes, however remember the Spanish dont have large evening meals. Dinner in the courtyard simply has to be done. The kangaroo tenderloin was so good my wife had it twice.
I have nothing but admiration for the hotel. And at about £90 (approx. €120) it was a bargain.
I would really recommend this for people with kids as it is so central you can easily pop out, and come back. If you are stuck in in the evening cause of kids, its a really nice to sit in both levels of the courtyard with a glass of wine.
