This hotel is a terrible value, as expensive as others which offer much more. We knew the hotel was not accessible to cars (not ours; not a taxi) & required a 10 minute uphill climb carrying our baggage. This wasn't a problem for us, as it felt like an adventure going through the Arab market searching for our lodging. The problem, when we did arrive - a bit winded but prepared to be charmed - was the host, who we found rude and completely unhelpful. That is the greatest, but not the only, drawback here. The room itself was really fine, but the promise of air-conditioning was basically a lie. Yes, there is a unit in the room which can be turned on, but it is programmed to turn off automatically in one hour. I spent a stifling night getting up to turn on the unit (which required turning on the light to find the little orange button) every single hour. Be warned! Southern Spain is very hot in summer & if you are someone who likes AC this hotel is a real bust. We also found it expensive compared to all the other places we stayed in that had much better amenities for similar prices, eg there is no shampoo or anything in the bathroom except a bottle of liquid soap which you transfer from sink to shower. Really unpleasant overall.
