Overall, very quaint, comfortable and cozy B&B with a great breakfast. The propietor is very organized and helpful with recommendations and directions on getting around. After 10 days of traveling and staying in a variety of hotels/hostals throughout Europe, this was a perfect place to really rest in our room, before and after our Alhambra day. We stayed in room 4, apparently the smallest room, but the one with the best view of the Alhambra. The view was breathtaking, the beds were superior, the sheets were perfect. There were two very comfortable wing back chairs to sit in and read, or just relish the view through the picture windows. Big bathroom, which was separate (small stairway away) and also our closet/dressing area. (Note: Soap/shampoo not provided). Towels were big and fluffy. Breakfast (served 9-11 am) was 5 euros and well worth it: a generous table of fruits, yogurt, coffee/tea, juice, assorted breads, pastries, and cereals.
My mother and I had a short stay at this wonderful Granada B&B, Nov 9-11, 2007. We arrived from Madrid close to midnight and had the proprietor meet us at Plaza Nueva to assist with our bags. Strongly recommend doing so, since it's a windy way there your first go-around. (During the day and without bags, it's not bad, though.) I think my mom was going to kill me, after a 5 hour train ride and then having to traipse all the uphill streets and steps to get to the place, but after seeing the view from our room and experiencing the high quality of comfortable bed and sitting chairs - she said it was worth it.
There's a wonderful patio in the center of the property to enjoy as well. The surrounding area of the Albacin has lively restaurants and shops, and it's a very quick walk to/from Plaza Nueva. Regarding safety, my mother and I were fine, as there were normally lots of people around; however there are many corners and hidden doorways on the windy streets, so just be aware and smart, especially late at night.
