“We went back 3 times in 6 days!”

That says it all really. The food is tremendous. The service is friendly and caring. It is one of those places where you feel instantly at ease and want to go back. So we did!

“The freshest flavours we found”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

This was special. We walked past this place whilst exploring the Albaicin and it caught our eye... just up from the touristy section of the street, with a menu and friendly staff that didn't scream "tourist trap". We weren't disappointed. The food was brilliant. We went for lunch and had a delicious house salad which was loaded with fresh mint and other herbs, a variety of lettuces, feta cheese, tomato etc... the best Baba ganoush we've had in Spain, Morocco, or anywhere else in the world (delicately spiced, smokey, divine)... followed by a bowl of hearty Harira soup each and finally a sticky selection of moroccan pastry sweets. The staff were very friendly and clearly took pride in what they were offering. This was probably the most enjoyable meal we had in Granada; certainly the best Moorish cuisine, and we tried a few of the highly rated competition mentioned on TripAdvisor. It was cold the day we visited but I would love to return on a warm evening and sit in the courtyard of the Riad. Go there, eat your fill. You're unlikely to regret it!

“Worth seeking out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

We looked up after reading the reports and we weren't disappointed despite taking a bit of finding. In the summer with the terrace open the bar is much busier but when we visited it was cosy and less busy so we were able to talk to the owner and visitors staying in the cave houses, which was fascinating. we spent an enjoyable evening, great tapas and wine. We decided to stay for dinner and it was delicious. Well worth seeking out.

“Our first salad in Granada”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

We went here based on other reviews and were so happy with the place we came back a second time. The tapas and beer are good but the table next to us were eating a salad. This is the first time in a month that I've seen a salad and it almost made me homesick. Needless to say that's what we ordered. We weren't disappointed.

“A hidden gem.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

My husband and I just stumbled upon this place and we had no idea what a beautiful place we found. The food was amazing. The owner was so kind to open it up for us for dining way before most restaurants open for dinner. Everything was fresh and the wine that they recommended was perfect. What was so fun was the atmosphere. There is a beautiful courtyard inside and a music room. You can tell there is a lot of love put into this place with all the attention to detail. If we are every lucky enough to be back in Granada this is the place we will go to first.
