We stayed 3 nights in August and had 3 rooms in the newer part of the hotel - one suite and 2 doubles for daughter and mother-in-law, even though we booked two singles. All rooms were next to each other. Although they were on the 5th floor, the lobby & fire exit for the rooms was actually at road level due to the hillside location. Road noise was minimal. Rooms were luxurious with excellent bathrooms, marble floors, efficient AC, fridges and safes, although the suite had the spa bath and basins actually in the room, which is fine when you're not expecting the rest of the family to come and go! Pool looked excellent (one reason for booking) but didn't try it as weather was only 20C while we were there instead of the 40C we expected! Granada centre is walkable but buses are cheap and only a short walk away ( we bought Bono cards which were just about worth it costwise if you go everywhere, but avoided queuing at the Alhambra). Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. Only had one dinner in hotel which was menu of the day (because we were in hurry to get out to the Alhambra for an evening theatre performance) - food was adequate shall we say. Plenty of restaurants both nearby and more central - recommend Pizzeria il Gondoliere. Desk staff were fine and spoke adequate English - we made the reservation by phone (hotel website is a bit unreliable in that area) and were not even asked for a credit card. We will stay again when we return, assuming prices are still as reasonable!
