On arrival we were very impressed, the receptions areas are lovely and despite earlier reviews re staff we found them efficient and helpful. We had been unable to have a room in the new part of the hotel allocated prior to arrival but, once there, it wasn´t a problem.
Would have been a problem if we wanted to use the pool as there was a wedding party there as we arrived and don´t think we would have felt able to get a sunbed out in their midst!
Got to our room to find unmade beds and it obviously hadn´t been made ready so rang reception who said ´not ready´and immediately put the phone down! Within minutes a maid arrived and got to work. We wanted to go straight out so we left her to it and it was all sorted when we got back.
Although this part of the hotel is a better part to stay in, due to the noise from the function rooms in the older part, it doesn´t actually appear to be finished. There are no pictures in the rooms and the restaurant menu folder only contained writing paper and a laundry list. The room fridge had the shelves down and contained nothing at all and one day we had a bath mat, another we didn´t.
Despite reporting that the hairdryer was not working on two consecutive days it was never fixed.
The beds are extremely comfortable and overall the hotel was fine but fine isn´t what we expect from a 4 star hotel. We could have opted for something less expensive but we didn´t as we wanted better facilities.
We will be visiting Granada again but not staying at this hotel.
