The special, and very positive thing was the first impression. We just walked in and asked for a room without prior reservation. The receptionist was so very nice, enthusiastic and informative that we booked the room right away. As it turned out, the receptionist was not only cordial, but very professional about the touristic information he gave out.
The room was alright, but nothing special. The good thing is that it was very spacious and had a nice view over the square.
I have read reviews about this hotel and I must really say that it was not shabby or noisy at all.The location is great. Easy to discover Granada by foot and near several parking spaces to leave the car during the stay.
I would come back. Great value for the money

The hotel is in a great location, right in the town centre and only a 3 minute walk to the Cathedral and Plaza Isabel Catholica. Although it looks promising from the outside - and from the pictures on the hotel website - our room was a bit shabby, but nothing that a lick of paint and some brighter light bulbs couldn't fix. Bathroom was big and fairly well furnished. Cleanliness was fair, but not great.
The main problem was the noise - there is obviously some sort of generator in the building that emits a constant, and loud, hum.... Even my ear plugs couldn't block out this irritating noise. Plus, the walls are paper thin, so be prepared to hear everything from nextdoor. Comfortable beds though!

For 50€ a night for 2 people I shouldn't really complain - at New Year's this was certainly the cheapest hotel around in this excellent location. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful, recommending areas for us to visit and bars to drink in - without their help we wouldn't have been able to make the most of Granada.

All in all, so long as you don't mind having disturbed (or no) sleep for a couple of days, you could do a lot worse than this hotel.

We were at the Raleigh which was too far out so swapped and how pleased were we !! The location is central, the place buzzing, the staff helpful and the room which had 3 bed was large. I know there is no pool but that didnt bother us as we were out all day. Everything is within walking distance.....and we were 60-85yr old.

I really don't understand where the 3 stars appeared from, i can only presume that it is the location, which is very good. Our room (the second as we requested to be moved from the first which had damp) was like a cell. I was dirty, small with dubious wires exposed in the bathroom. You can hear every move in other peoples room and probobly from every insect. If you have any spare money or sense go elsewhere, Granada is easily accessable so don't worry too much about location. JUST SAY NO!
