This hotel is a very nice hotel for the price, the room we stayed in had three double windows, very breezy and open.

Fairly recently updated, nice bathroom, good size double room.

The rate was under 100 US dollars, and it was centrally located to the things you want to see in Granada.

We liked that it was close to the Plaza Bib-Rambla, which has some decent restaurants.

It was easy to get to the Alhambra and the area is very nice and has lots of shopping.

One thing we don't like: no internet access, unless you pay outrageous rates in the lobby. Better to go to .com, which is in the Plaza Trinidad and has cheap access.

Like most of the other people who have reviewed this hotel, I thought it was:

Very Clean
Very well located
Very helpful staff

but a bit noisy, due to the stone floors. To be fair, unless you're a really bad sleeper, I wouldn't let it put you off too much as the other plus points make up for the occassional noise.

My husband and I stayed here for one night in October 2006. The hotel is in a good location and you can easily walk to the Alhambra and other areas of interest.

The hotel was clean and we got an excellent rate of 55 Euros a night. However the room lacked charm, we got three single beds in a narrow room (we asked for one bed as we were on our honeymoon!) and our room overlooked a very noisy street. We barely slept all night. Oh, and the shower is so powerful it actually hurt to stand under it.

If you are looking for a budget hotel in a central location, then this is a good bet. However we didn't really find it comfortable and I certainly would not want to spend any length of time here.

My husband and I stayed at the Nieves in June 2006 for 4 nights, booked hotel via Expedia - good price, but note the contract doesn't include breakfast. The hotel is easy to find as its close to the Cathedral and Bib-Rambla square, just off the main shopping area. We found it quiet at night (we had 3rd floor) as there are no bars within the immediate vicinity. Helpful receptionists. Good-sized room, very clean with quiet air-con (only available if you're in the room), efficient shower and soft white towels. On the downside, not much character (the patios on their website are just small gaps like lift shafts, about half-way up inside the hotel!). Didn't have lunch there, but you could, in the very small dining room. Breakfast is in the public bar next door - basic breakfast for which we had to pay, but did have fresh orange juice (but there's a lovely patisserie just opposite). All in all, it was OK as a base but nothing special and, if we went again, we'd stay nearer the Albaicin district. But it wasn't far to walk to the main attractions and its location is great if you want the shops (so many shoes!). Loved Granada and the tapas bars.Airport bus was quick and cheap.
