I stayed as part of a tour. The public areas of the hotel were fine & the staff helpful. In terms of location , being right by the Alhambra makes it an attractive place to stay. However the hotel was very busy with groups coming & going. The restaurant food is very bland & the whole hotel has the air of being a people factory.
The main problem is that I was travelling with a friend & we had single rooms. Despite each paying a substantial supplement we both ended up in rooms that you could hardly swing a cat in. I couldn't walk unimpeded around my bed; my friend couldn't sit straight on her loo because of the closeness of the washbasin. A complaint to the management via the rep brought the indifferent response of "what do you expect as a single traveller" .Luckily we were only there 2 nights.
My response is that I don't expect to be discriminated against - especially when I have paid over the odds to have a single room!
