I stayed as part of a tour. The public areas of the hotel were fine & the staff helpful. In terms of location , being right by the Alhambra makes it an attractive place to stay. However the hotel was very busy with groups coming & going. The restaurant food is very bland & the whole hotel has the air of being a people factory.

The main problem is that I was travelling with a friend & we had single rooms. Despite each paying a substantial supplement we both ended up in rooms that you could hardly swing a cat in. I couldn't walk unimpeded around my bed; my friend couldn't sit straight on her loo because of the closeness of the washbasin. A complaint to the management via the rep brought the indifferent response of "what do you expect as a single traveller" .Luckily we were only there 2 nights.

My response is that I don't expect to be discriminated against - especially when I have paid over the odds to have a single room!

Found this hotel on Booking.com (checkout this site) For location on your visit to the Alhambra, this is a must stay hotel. It is positioned just above the entry to the attraction. The hotel offers free wifi throughout the building which is a real bonus. Our room was comfortable, clean and had all you would require. There was no coffee or tea making facility within the room (as in many EU hotels) Bring your own. Limited TV channels, but you're not here for that. Great shower. The hotel has their own car park which is at a small fee, you must remember not to drive into the Alhambra main carpark, its ticket access in and out and you will be charged but to use the road access alongside and pull in to the reception drop off area and they will organise the parking for you

Stayed here for 2 nights on our tour of Andalucia. Great hotel for location as it is a couple of minutes walk to the ticket office for the Alhambra and only a 5 minute walk to the entrance. Car parking right opposite in the Alhambra car park - 13 euros for 24 hours. Lovely hotel and friendly staff who all speak English in varying degrees. The room was nice, if a little on the small size but had a wonderful view. The breakfast was a typical continental buffet with a small number of cooked items - sausage, bacon, boiled, fried, scrambled eggs - not the best we've had but perfectly fine to fill you up for the day.
To walk down to town is about a 20 minute walk downhill and about 40 minutes back up, although a taxi will only cost 5 euros. There is a bus there and back which is only 1 euro and runs til about 11 p.m.
We were there at the end of Semana Santa - the easter week celebrations where there are processions through the streets from about 8 p.m til 3 a.m - amazing to watch!
Coming up to the hotel during the day can be a bit of a bind as the roads get busy with Alhambra traffic. Would stay here again if visiting the Alhambra but if not, would stay in the centre of Granada which is lovely.

  • Liked — The location to the Alhambra
  • Disliked — The hill back to the hotel after a night on the town!

March 6-11 2008. I booked this hotel via links from your website through HotelPronto and we stayed 4 nights over a weekend. The cost was £180 to include an excellent buffet breakfast. The room was exceptionally clean, if a little dated, and comfortable. The hotel had a very cosmopolitan guest list, German, Japanese, French, English, Irish and other languages which we couldn't distinguish. We parked in the Alhambra car park at a discounted rate of 13 euros daily. We toured the magnificent Alhambra with a guide at a cost of 40 euros each. The weather was sunny around 20c and occasionally windy with cold nights. The Sierra Nevada ski slopes were fairly busy but he snow was being made artificially because of the warm days. An unexpected highlight was the Argentinian Tango competition in the Main Square close to the Cathedral. The trip was enhanced by the bright sunny days as walking up and down to the hotel in the wet could have been a real problem.

  • Liked — The close proximity to the Alhambra and ease of access from the auto via.
  • Disliked — The room was a little on the small side.

We stayed 29 Jan 2008, for one night.
Car park was full and we were able to park in alhambra palace car park for 13 euros for 24hrs, which was a cheaper rate as staying at hotel.
The reception area was large and there was a small patio seating in front of hotel.
The room had 2 beds and TV. Modern clean bathroom.
Clean and comfortable.
We had buffet dinner reasonable price 14 euros and variety of choses. Little choice of restuarnats near the hotel, advantage of staying here would be to go to Alhambra palace as only 2-5minute walk to ticket office.
Easy to find the hotel, as just follow alhambra palace signs.
