The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is a 2 minute walk to the Alhambra entrance, making it very convenient. Parking is at a slightly reduced rate of 12 € per day, in the Alhambra parking lot. Access to town center is by a 15 minute walk or a 1 € bus ride.

The lobby is small but clean. There is a small bar as well as a very small lounge area. There is a single computer for high speed internet - it is free, if you can get on it.

There is a small elevator which worked fine.

The rooms are of small to average size, with nice vinyl windows and metal shutters which seal tightly shut - to block out both noise and sunlight. We had no need for AC at this time of year. The rooms are a bit older, but everything is clean and works fine. The bathrooms are average in every way. The toilet plumbing makes a loud noise when flushing. The rooms walls are very thin; the neighborhood itself is quiet, but if you have loud neighbors this could be a problem. In summary, these are average rooms, nothing really special or dilapidated about them.

The restaurant was also average. The breakfast was good. The dinner was not my favorite, and I would dine elsewhere in the future.

The staff was friendly and helpful and english-speaking.

All in all, the location was hard to beat for the price, but the amenities are only fair. If you need fancy digs, go elsewhere. If you want location above all else, this place fits the bill.

We just returned from a 2 week vacation with our friends in Spain. Out of all of the hotels this was by far the worst hotel of the bunch. I can only say that I am glad we only stayed one night at the hotel. The hotel has no memorable qualities except for the close proximity to the Alhambra and quick access to the downtown bus. Our room was on the second floor facing an alley in the new part. Outside our window at night we had a dog that barked non- stop so that did not help improve my opinion of the room. We had a double size bed in a cramped room that barely fit our 2 suitcases and bag. Let's start with the bed, hard does not even begin to describe it. The bathroom was so cramped, I could practically use the toilet and wash my hands at the same time. The room was not very clean and the A/C did not work, but since the hotel was fully booked we had no other choice. Our traveling companions had the same experience except there room was larger. There is no way this is a 3 star hotel, this hotel should be reclassified as a 1 or 2 star. I would suggest if you need to get a good nights sleep or want a true 3 star hotel pay more and stay on the Alhambra grounds.

Beautiful hotel, located right next to the Alambra. Staying there was just as good (arguably more convienient) than staying in the Alambra itself. The hotel is very cheap for the location.

The only good thing to say about this hotel is it is in a great location for the Alhambra and the bus to town (which at 1 euro is dear, but worth using, espcially if it is hot) is close by. (To find it just follow signs to the carparks for the Alhambra.)

I don't know how it qualifies as three star though.

The bar is adequate as is the bar food, but you are still paying hotel bar prices.

The rooms are cramped and hot - the airconditioning was turned off at night - but it was so noisy that it was probably a relief. (Although at 32c at night it was very uncomfortable - and you couldn't leave the wondows open because of the genrator and the fields -we got badly bitten the night we tried.) It may be a hotel better used in spring or autumn when it isn't 40c+.

However, I guess for the location it it is cheap - we paid just under £100 for two nights - and the breakfast was OK. So if you want to see Granada - and especially the Alhambra - the Guadeloupe is fine for a bargain break. But it is no holiday treat.

This is definitely a keeper! We would stay here again! It is right next to the Alhambra, very close to the bus station in order to go to town (or a pleasent 10 minute walk). We did not try the restaurant, but did try the cafe/bar which was very good. The staff was helpful. The only draw back was the airconditioning--we had the family room, very large 2 rooms with a large bathroom for only 95 euros a night. The airconditioning was terrible, but I would stay here again!
