My husband and I seem to have stayed at a different Hotel Guadalupe than everyone else... Although the location was nice (right across from the Alhambra), we found that to be the only plus. Upon arrival, we were led down the street and through some renovation of sorts to our room. The room was small and the bed was terribly uncomfortable. We had to wedge cardboard between the headboard and the wall to keep it from banging and rocking with the slightest movement. The walls were paper thin and we were awakened by our very loud neighbors each night.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place based on our stay. I would try something down the hill away from the Alhambra to get a better value for the money.

I really liked this hotel. Perfect location for the Alhambra literally a stone's throw from the entrance. My room was in the annexe a few doors down from the main building but had a pleasant view and was quiet although slightly on the small side. The hotel restaurant and bar are great and the staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend the Guadalupe as good value for money.

Room 412 is a lovely top-floor room with a nice terrace (views of the hills and the top of the alhumbra through the treetops) with chairs/table and deck-chair! Comfortable firm bed, nice bathroom, though a little on the small side.
Lovely view from window and terrace over the trees to the Alhambra (can only see part of the church) and the town beyond.
Friendly staff though limited English.
Buffet breakfast is included in room rate - not that exciting a buffet but ok. Internet is available in the afternoon (they only have one phone line it seems).
Hotel has a restaurant with a nice sounding menu but did not eat there. Discounted parking in Alhambra carpark (11.50/day).
Prime position for Alhambra - for anything else it's necessary to walk down the hill to the town or catch the Alhambra bus (95c one way, every 6-10 minutes).
96 euros including breakfast - excellent value.

What a great location. This hotel is perfectly situated for visiting the Alhambra - however book your tickets (and your time slot) in advance as they do sell out, so as to avoid disappointment. Our room was air conditioned, spacious with good quality linen and kept spotlessly clean - our bathroom even had a jacuzzi!

Breakfast consisted of a variety of juices and cereals, in addition to continental meats, scrambled eggs, sausage, croissants etc. There was even a toasting machine and a wide selection of jams and honey.

To travel into the centre, which takes just minutes, just hop onto the minibus outside of the hotel which will take you to the Plaza Nueva, a good starting point for visiting the Cathedral, Arab baths and Bib Rambla.

The staff at the Guadalupe were more than helpful and all spoke very good English. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Granada - fantastic value for money!
