Excellent location, right at the entrance of the Alhambra Palace and the tourist bus stop outside as well.

Good breakfast.

Room was a fair size and clean but there were one or two small problems (plug in sink not working and bedside light not working) which were not fixed in the 3 days we were there, although the staff were friendly and helpful.

Good value for money.

Restaurant for evening meal was very good and again, good value.

I stayed at the Hotel Guadelupe for two nights in March 2008. I walked in and asked for a room after I found that the hotel I had originally booked a reservation at was located in a very dangerous part of the Barrio Sacromonte. Hotel Guadelupe is located a 5 minute walk from the Alhambra, and right next to the large public parking lot that services the Alhambra visitors. Hotel guests get a discounted rate at the parking lot (it is normally 17 euros per day, and hotel guests get to park there for 13 euros per day). The hotel has free wi-fi access, a nice little bar on the ground floor, a full service restaurant on the next floor, and three levels of guest rooms above that, serviced by an elevator. The staff all speak English and the room TVs offer two English language news stations (CNN International and Sky). The rooms are very nice, with air conditioning and heat, beautiful bathrooms, very clean, very quiet. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I got a single room for 50 euros per night. I was very lucky to get such a decent hotel, at a decent rate, right next to the attraction I so wanted to see, especially after seeing where the original hotel booking was located. The Granada Tourist Bus stops right in front of the hotel, too, and the 15 euros fare covers 48 hours of riding on the bus, which is one of those hop-on-hop-off deals.

I found this to be excellent value, I had a lovely room , small but beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and with a balcony, perfect for watching the setting sun over the Alhambra. Staff were helpful & friendly, choice of bar or restaurant made it ideal for a single woman travellor. I would highly recommend it.

Great location for a visit to the Alhambra. Also recommend a walk downhill into the City for a visit to the Cathedral - 3.50 euros entry - well worth it for this very impressive building. Also took the open top bus tour 12.40 euros for a 24 hour ticket - you can hop off and visit many attractions as many times as you wish within this time (bus stop in the car park right opposite the hotel).
Our room was fine - room 310 - clean & spacious with a comfortable bed - although the side view was not spectacular! Had both breakfast & dinner in the hotel - found the set price 3 course evening meal good value at 12.50 euros. Breakfast ok but not great at 9 euros.
Staff friendly & helpful - we used the bar & found the barman to be efficient )especially if you give him a small tip!
Make sure that you book your Alhambra tickets on line before you go - you will then get a booking reference - there were huge queues to pidk up the tickets - we went along to the automated machines adjacent to the queues - select your language & put in the credit card that you used to book the tickets & our tickets popped straight out - took less than a minute & we did this the day before our visit - highly recommended!
Car parking in the main Alhambra car park - try to get a space in P1 which is nearest the hotel - the hotel will give you a voucher for half price parking - 12.50 for 24 hours. Overall a great trip in a good hotel in a great location.
