It says on their website that all rooms include balcony-this is not true. We were told that the rooms with balcony were already taken.

It is a little bit outside of the center...it takes about 5 min. with
taxi into the center. Shopping Center right in front of it - Corte Ingles.

The rooms were ok-maybe a little torn and worn- carpets were not really clean. The aircondition was old and the room felt really stuffy when we entered. Given it was 35C outside it did feel uncomfortbale at first.

Service was ok.

First impressions were very good. Found the hotel very easy as just off main rd. Nice reception and bar area. Clean room good size. Good location for visiting city and the sites. Local bars etc good value and lively, children welcomed.
Just remember to check you cost in the garage and breakfast. It boosted the bill by £140 pounds when I got the bill afterwards.
Please note that the pool is not open until late June/July which I found odd as temparatures were late 20's and 30's.
We did have a noisy road and circus across the road which if we were staying longer than 5 nights I'd have to change.
Breakfast was 12E/6 for child, but it did have hot and cold and plentyful.
Had a safe in the room which again you had to pay for.
Staff were generally pleasant a couple on reception could have been more charming.
TOP TIP book Alhambra Palace online before you go it could save you 35E. I'd say at least a week before you go if not earlier.

A standard comfortable, large and pretty characterless city hotel seemingly catering mainly for coachloads of retired French and German holidaymakers. We stayed for one night before flying from the airport. I booked direct with the hotel and said we'd need a cot for our nine-month-old baby but on arrival found that there were none available (and that my request hadn't even been noted) and the check-in staff were pretty uninterested in procuring one for us. The other (less important) downside was the coffee, which after three weeks of drinking excellent cafés con leche and cordados in humble bars was pretty dismal. It was out of machines, was of the instant variety that makes no attampt o resemble real coffee that would have been more at home in a 1970s Birmingham greasy spoon. Upsides: pretty good value for money all round (coffee excepted) and although not particularly central was only 10 mins walk from the catedral with a secure and fairly cheap underground car-park beside it.

  • Liked — Beside good car-park; good selection of newspapers in the bar
  • Disliked — The "coffee"

Living on the south coast of spain can get really monotomous, so taking a trip to Granada for the weekend was the perfect escae for me and my boyfriend. Deciding very last minute, we drove up from Marbella in just over 2 hours.
We stumbled across this hotel and i have to say i was pleasantly surprised.
The staff were lovely and the room was comfortable.

Only a 15 min walk away from the centre, we walked to and from town, stopping at the Cathedral and having tappas in the fantastic little Gambrinus in town. (staff are FAB and food is great)

All in all a lovely weekend away, and with the comforts of a very nice hotel, the stay was nicer than i expected for a spur of the min city break.

The hotel faces the street and freeway so if you want a quiet room then ask for one with a window facing the interior courtyard. This may mean that the room is darker, but at least it isn't noisy.

The room and bathroom are well maintained and clean. The hotel is located somewhat centrally to downtown Granada. It is also close to shopping centers (El Cortes Ingles is on the ground floor and across the street).

  • Liked — very clean bathroom
  • Disliked — very firm mattress
  • Tips/Secrets: — ask for a room facing the courtyard if you're looking for quietness
