The Tryp Albayzin is located in one of Granada's main streets, flanked at either end of the street by pretty fountains. It has parking, payable per night.
I was worried about this hotel, having not read any reviews prior to making the booking, but having plenty after! I shouldn't have worried. This is a very nice hotel, which feels as though it has been refurbished recently. The room was spacious, nicely appointed, with a slightly Moorish feel to it. There is a small gym and massage facility, the hotel reception and bar are very pleasant.
Breakfast was comprehensive and had something to appeal to anyone.
Don't be put off by reviews which talk about noise. Whilst this hotel is on a fairly busy road, it is not overly noisy.
The staff were really helpful, helped us book tickets for the city centre tour bus and parked our car for us.
If you haven't been to Granada before, I would recommend going on the city centre tour bus. Although you really will feel like a tourist, you will also see the main sights, have a 48-hour transport pass around the city, and it's a good way of getting up to the Alhambra (and back). Another tip is to make sure you book your Alhambra tickets in advance rather than wait in the queue.
