The Melia Granada is as centrally situated as you could wish for with many bars and restaurants just outside the doors of the hotel. Very good rates can be obtained through the hotel chain's website and if you join the Mas frequent stayers scheme (can be done online) you can get a free breakfast with every one that you pay for.

The rooms are very suitable and reasonably spacious with all the amenities you could wish for.

This hotel is ideally located in the centre of Granada within a short walk of the central sights, catherderal, shops etc. and close to the Alhambra bus stops. It is large but the room was clean and the beds comfortable. We had a street facing room with a good, sideways, view of the snow covered Sierra mountains but several of the rooms only face inner courtyards. Breakfast was amongst the best we've found in Spain, fresh and with a wide choice. All in all thoroughly recommended.

Stopped in the hotel, 25th-27th April 2007. Friendly staff and very nice stay. Hotel is in great location and rooms are clean tidy and everything you require. Staff were always there to help and it was perfect for a romantic getaway.

Okay, the plus side -- location is walking distance convenient to most points of interest.

Negatives -- facility is in desperate need of maintenance and modernization. Main entrance revolving door out of order and judging by the dust it has been for some time. Elevator hydraulics must be leaking because the jolting starts and stops would bring an elderly person to their knees. Stained carpets etc. The toilet is in such a tight space that my wife and I (normal sized people) could not sit straight on, but had to angle our legs because of close proximity of the side and facing walls. You will need to get a super good price in order to feel good about yourself if you stay at this hotel.
