We should have listened to other reviews, but as our visit was in October we really didn't think it would still be hot. It was, in fact, absolutely unbearable! We complained at the front desk and they were not in the slightest bit interested. "It's winter!" was the only explanation I was given for the aircon being switched off! After 2 nights of complaining they eventually brought us a rickety old fan which didn't help much. We were instructed to leave the window open, but it opened widely and there were no safety bars at all and we were on the 5th floor with two children so that wasn't really an option. In any case the incredible noise from the street would have been deafening!
On the first night they expected the four of us (two adults and two children) to share three single beds amongst us and again the receptionist just shrugged her shoulders when we said that it was not acceptable. On the second night they did give us an extra fold up bed but we had no floor space at all.
The reception staff were grumpy and unhelpful even though I speak Spanish though the breakfast and bar staff could not have been nicer. The pool was closed though this had not been made clear at the time of our booking and the weather was nice enough for a quick dip.
I would say, however, that the rooms were exceptionally clean and well-presented and the furniture and linen seemed to be new.
