The hotel has a great location on a quiet street just 5 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the city's main streets. Good standard of cleanliness and modern, well equiped rooms. All cleaning, waiting on, and bar staff very helpful and pleasant. The reception staff slightly less so but I had no administrative problems during my 4 night stay so didn't really have to test them very much. Good, well stocked breakfast and evening buffets. In summary, an ideal city break hotel and I would certainly book another hotel in the same chain elsewhere in Spain.

We should have listened to other reviews, but as our visit was in October we really didn't think it would still be hot. It was, in fact, absolutely unbearable! We complained at the front desk and they were not in the slightest bit interested. "It's winter!" was the only explanation I was given for the aircon being switched off! After 2 nights of complaining they eventually brought us a rickety old fan which didn't help much. We were instructed to leave the window open, but it opened widely and there were no safety bars at all and we were on the 5th floor with two children so that wasn't really an option. In any case the incredible noise from the street would have been deafening!

On the first night they expected the four of us (two adults and two children) to share three single beds amongst us and again the receptionist just shrugged her shoulders when we said that it was not acceptable. On the second night they did give us an extra fold up bed but we had no floor space at all.

The reception staff were grumpy and unhelpful even though I speak Spanish though the breakfast and bar staff could not have been nicer. The pool was closed though this had not been made clear at the time of our booking and the weather was nice enough for a quick dip.

I would say, however, that the rooms were exceptionally clean and well-presented and the furniture and linen seemed to be new.

Stayed for one night in September 2008. Room was modern,spacoius and clean, Excellent bathroom facilities.
Had no problems with front desk - however one of our group spoke Spanish which may have helped. Convenient location for a pleasant stroll to the town centre. We booked a tour of the Alhambra - picked up and dropped off at the hotel. The rate of 94 euros included a good buffet breakfast. Altogether a very good experience and good value. The weather was not too hot so we did not have to deal with the air-conditioning issue mentioned by several reviewers.

Stayed at the saray for 2 nights whilst on holiday for 3 wks in andalucia.
Slightly apprehensive due to some less than positive reviews.
Was very happy with the service, standards and location of the hotel, although if you are visiting granada just to see the alhambra you may be better staying nearer to it. -We got a taxi early in the morning that cost 6 euros's.
The staff were really helpful on numerous different occaisions and all spoke good english.
Breakfast very good, room very nice ,small pool that does get crowded and you cant get a sunbed - but most people wouldnt visit this type of hotel in ts city if all they wanted to do was sunbathe - ?? 10 minute walk into town centre.
All in all very enjoyable.
One last thing look around the surrounding side streets for parking - we parked right next to hotel and saved 30 euros on hotel car park.
