We stayed for 2 nights in the Hotel Saray, Granada in June 2007. It was the first time we booked a hotel using Hotels.com and we found it was remarkable value for such a beautiful and luxurious hotel. The reception/bar staff were most friendly and helpful - recommending places to eat locally. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in an excellent location, so we parked the car and walked around the City during our time there. I would recommend the restaurants in Bib Ramblas near the Cathedral for great food! The panoramic lifts in the hotel were something else. The whole experience made me feel special.

I traveled on Business to Granada on the 2nd August 2007. We stayed at the Hotel Saray for 14 nights.
Over all this is not a bad hotel. Easy walking distance to the centre of granada, its a 10 minute stroll. The hotel rooms were spacious, clean and had everything you could want. Most travelers seem to be there a couple of night max which would be the most preferable length of stay. The pool is a welcome retreat from the 45 deg C heat of the day but can get very busy with tourist coaches arriving every few days. Getting a sunbed by the pool in the afternoon was impossible. Breakfast at e10.40 was OK not the best but certainly not the worst, Lunch however was very poor expensive and the quality was bad. I don't recomend the hotel for food but with the town so close why bother eating there anyhow.

I would not personaly book this hotel again but if I was to stay I would not be vexed by it

Stayed here with my wife in june 2007. Booked after reading reviews on this website. My stay here was excellent. Got the booking at around 70 Euros a night. The room was large enough and clean with an excellent bathroom. The hotel was located conveniently. There was a bus stop right next to it and you can reach the city centre in 10 mins. Hotel also had a restaurant and a pool but we didn't use it. Its a good value for money.

Stayed here july 2007. I was interested in other reviews of this hotel before I booked as they seemed to contradict each other as to the location etc. Some said 5 minutes to town, some said in the middle of nowhere. I was pleased to find that it was just a 10 minute stroll (slow stroll as I have achilles tendonitis) and just 20 minutes stroll to the centre and the cathedral. The bus from the airport was easy as it takes you to just yards from the hotel and costs just 3 euros. The hotel is really nice and clean. Although they originally gave us a smoking room when we asked for non smoking, reception were more than happy to move us to another room immediately. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was really comfortable (I have a bad back and rarely find hotel beds comfortable but these were), you can even order pillows from a menu. The air con was good and very quiet. The pool is nice (albeit too many kids jumping in, probably better out of season) and the gardens with the fountains beautiful. The restaurant looked uninviting so for my partner's birthday dinner we opted to eat in the cafe/bar in reception. This was a great idea. Noone else seemed to do this. They laid the table for us complete with white cloth and serviettes and we had individual attention and the food was very good. We found the staff to be very good, not much English but no problem everybody still got understood. Staff on reception spoke good English. All in all a really nice hotel.
