The hotel is in the square at the base of the Alhambra. There is a bus that brings you up the Alhambra (95 cents one way). There is parking nearby in car park but not in the hotel. (the web site is a little misleading in this respect). There are major roadworks in Granada so a circuitous route needs to be taken. The detour directions were adequate.
The hotel it self is fine. Rooms are ensuite with air con and TV. CAn't say if there are non spanish channels as I did trun it on!
Cost of room (single) was 40 euro + tax. Breakfast was good value a 5.50 (buffet style)

We have just done a tour of Cordoba, Seville, Marbella and Granada and all the hotels I researched and booked through sites from Tripadvisor.
We were not disappointed, every one of the hotels came up to expectations and we would happily return to any of them.
The Macia Plaza is situated in Plaza Nueva a busy square with lots of tapas bars and restaurants in the surrounding area. Ask for a quite room not overlooking the square if you are worried by noise. Granada is a lovely city and very walkable with beautiful churches, the Alhambra, great shopping and wonderful tapas. Unlike Seville where you always have to pay for a tapa in Granada you always get some little nibble (and sometimes not so little!)free with every drink you order.
The hotel rooms/bathrooms although quite small are very clean and well presented. Most of the reception staff were pleasant although one gentleman was a complete misery and no attempts to get a smile from him were rewarded! He is due to retire soon so maybe he has just given up on the right customer service attitude!
Only draw back is the access if you have a car and the car park they use is quite a distance away.
Could not fault this hotel and would use it again especially as we only paid around £80 for three nights stay.

Granada - Hotel Macia Plaza ( 75 euros/night) 2 nights - Great location , right on Plaza Nuevo with taxis & the Alhambra buses right out the front door. Much nicer than the Picasso in Seville - a really nice full bathroom, including a bidet - a bit of a lower level Holiday Inn . We got the 3rd floor again, but this time there was an elevator. We didn't get a view ( our window basically was an interior hole / column for the air conditioners) but that was ok . The young lady working the desk in the evenings was extremely friendly & helpful.

This hotel was a treat for us after 1 week in Spain. This was the nicest place we stayed and we got the best price of any of our hotels in Spain after booking with Expedia. The room was very clean and not bad on the size either. There was a breakfast buffet in the morning in the basement for only 5.50 Euro. It was more like a very good continental breakfast that you'd be used to in North America, but was a nice change after a week of Spanish omlettes. They also have a next day laundry service. The staff was very friendly and had no problem talking to us in English even though my wife speaks a bit of Spanish. The location is right where you'd want to be if you were interested in the Alhambra as well as shopping and pubs at night. Great place.
