“Great location... but bad experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

No doubt, this is the best location hotel in granada. Its very good value for money too, my booking was breakfast included and i did enjoy the breakfast very much too. Room and shower very very clean.
However, my experience was ruined with a noisy air conditioning which keep making cracking sounds thus interuptted my sleep in room 303. I didnt really complain as i thought i would put up with it. Also, one day when i was shutting my room door, the fake ceiling on corridor collapsed on me, hit my head and gave me a nasty bruise on my leg. Fortunately it was thin metal and didnt knock me out. I told the hotel staff and the reception apologised. I guess it was just my bad luck but it was quite traumatising.

Despite my bad experience, i would recommend this hotel because location was really good and room was clean. Just watch out the ceiling.

Room Tip: not room 303

Upsides: location.....great town square and easy walk to all sites
Quiet rooms.....even though we had a room facing the square it was surprisingly quiet at night
Evening staff very helpful

Downsides: grumpy morning reception
Small room
cool terrace overlooking plaza but not usable/practical
INTERNET DOES NOT WORK IN ROOM. Must go to lobby and sit with everyone else

All in all we were satisfied with our pick of this hotel.

We stayed here in September'11 and will be returning in a weeks time. We had a very enjoyable stay first time round, it is in a great location, close to the Alhambra and gardens. It is also close to the main restaurant area. We managed to find a car park close by, but it was very expensive. All in all a great hotel.

I was staying there 3 nights with my girlfriend. The hotel located in the best location in Granada, 5 minutes walk from the cathedral and just beside the main street of the restaurants and pubs.2 min walk from the hotel you can find a bus to Alhambra although it took us 15 min walk.

The stuff is very kind and will answer every question you have and would like to help!

The only problem is the parking...you need to take off the luggage and to park 7 min walk from the hotel, ask them where to park because you will get a discount.

The location was fantastic though it was a bit tricky for us to find at first. The streets in Granada are a little tricky so be sure to have your directions before you arrive. If you are driving, it is best to park and then walk to the hotel. We parked underground in a lot and then walled a few blocks. The hotel was nice, clean and quiet and in a nice square.

This hotel is perfectly located in the middle of town - accessible to the sights in Granada. Our stay came with free breakfast which was decent - continental along with the Spanish tortilla, cold cuts. There are restaurants just next to the hotel.

The rooms are rather small but they're clean. Staff was very helpful as well. Highly recommend!

Pros:
- Comfortable bed.
- Polite staff. They respected our "do not disturb" sign. They were also helpful regarding which buses to take to go to some tourist attractions.
- Working AC.
- Clean and quiet room.
- Great location. Close to the Alhambra and the Cathedral. Plenty of food option around.

Cons:
- Internet was only available on the reception floor and the floor below it. No working internet in the room.
- Pillows weren't comfortable.

Neutral:
- No safety deposit box inside the room, but we didn't experience any issues with security. We didn't check if the front desk has one.
- Room key was bulky. You can choose to either keep the key, or return it to the front desk when you go out. We prefer the later since it is big and bulky.

Tips:
- The hotel is within walking distance to the Alhambra, but the road was going uphill. If you're not used to walking uphill and feel tired easily like me, you might want to opt for going there by bus, and then you can walk back by foot since it's downhill.
