“Small, but convenience!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

I reserved this hotel base of the sightseeing for Alhambra. It faces la plaza nueva so it is the most suitable location for Granada sightseeing. Room is small but clean. Breakfast is a bit cheap , menu does not change at all.

We stayed here on Friday 3rd May and found it perfect for access to most of the places of interest and the best local bars and restaurants.
We arrived by car and my advice is to park in one of the public car parks and then walk to the hotel as access by car is not possible. There are 2 car parks within 5 minutes easy walking, just check the map.
We did not eat in the hotel as there were far too many excellent bars and restaurants to choose from. One tip avoid the cafe next door, far too expensive and not particularly good.

Room Tip: We were at the back of the hotel. Very quiet but no view. Front rooms overlook the Plaza Nueva with...

Stayed in march 2013 for 2 nights. Easy to find and very convenient. from train station to the hotel cost E8. Double room was small - only for sleeping purpose.. room/toilet very clean..staff helpful and ok. There is a tour agent right infront of the hotel that offer all kind of short tours ..good if your time is tight. from the hotel can walk up to Alhmbra (20 minutes up the hill). So many places to eat near the hotel. Behind the hotel (take small road on the left of the hotel) you can find shops selling souviners and halal. I also stumbled upon a delicious small arabic dessert shop run by a very sweet young lady.

Very friendly and helpful staff (very good suggestions for typical restaurants and they send us to park in the indoor parking of one of their hotel - Macia Condor situated 1,2 km from downtown - for only 14€ a day. Good complete breakfast, hotel very clean. Excellent location. Small grieves: air conditioning a little noisy, mattress could be firmer and door hinges need to be greased! My account was debited by Galahotel 4€ more than agreed and they never answered my claim, it is not a big deal but rather book directly with Macia Plaza Hotel!

On our entire trip Granada was the best moment. To do things properly you need at least 2 days and nights. The hotel is perfectly positioned in the center of town close to all the goodies and looks out on to a large square. When we arrived we immediately asked for a change of room as the one we were allocated through booking.com was very small and at the back of the hotel. For a better room looking onto the square we had to pay 30% extra, but it was worth it. Still a small room we a very small bathroom and the perpetual noise from the square below, even during the night. The bed was 140cm, not ideal for average size people, and the pillow (1) was the entire width of the bed, but the room was so small you understand why. However, despite everything it was confortable and clean and was perfect for our stay in Granada.

This is a small, quiet but very comfortable hotel on Plaza Nueva a really convenient spot in Granada for the Alhambra, you can see it from the square and also the lovely old town. The river is a short walk away. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Parking is 5 minutes walk away. The staff will tell you where as the hotel is in an area where cars are not allowed although you can drive in to drop and pick your luggage up.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back which meant it was very quiet

This hotel is just very well located. All the main shopping and historical sites are within walking distance. It's decently priced. The room and bathroom were nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. The room is quite small. I travel solo and don't carry much luggage, and the room felt cramped. The breakfast buffet is well priced and has a variety of bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, pastries. I really enjoyed my stay.
