Repeat visit for us at Hotel Los Tilos, and once again, this hotel delivered! This time, we drove instead of taking the train....parked at La Paz (for 15 euros/ night) on Calle La Paz. Hotel has an "agreement" with another parking structure for 14 euros/night, so not much difference, and La Paz was within 6-7 minutes walk of hotel. Family stayed in Rm 402 and we stayed in 407. 402 has an amazing view of the square below, and my parents enjoyed waking up to views of the Plaza Bib-Rambla also coming alive in the morning. The Cathedral can be viewed from either of the 2 windows in this room (it is a corner room on the top floor) and is "larger than life"....
We had previously stayed in Rm 401 (right across the hall from 402, but also with great views of the square), but this time it was occupied, so we were in Rm 407. No view, but a triple for 2 people, so LOTS more room in the bedroom and bathroom! It was great! The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, and it is in a great location with plenty of cafes/restaurants in the square, and lots of great attractions within walking distance. This time, we purchased the Granada City Pass....a great deal! Google it, and you should be able to find it!!! For 22euros pp, you get entrance to all the major museums/cathedral/Alhambra/9 city bus rides/City Sightseeing Bus, etc! Definitely don't pass this one up! Plus, we already had tix to the Alhambra, but wanted to go again during our stay! They were sold out online, but we were able to book the day we bought the City Pass at the Capilla Real (in Spanish, the pass is called the Bono Turistico Granada). Can purchase in Granada or online (>48 hours before trip), and it lasts for 7 days!
