The location of Pension Britz is absolutely great. In Plaza Santa Ana, next to the road to La Alhambra and surrounded by loads of bars where having fun and 'tapas'. It's so centric that it's almost impossible to use the car here, so if you arrive by car park it out of the city center. You won't need it.
Being in such a lively area makes noise a problem during night, but I was able to sleep pretty well. The advantage is that you have lots of things to do close to your hostel. Please avoid usual restaurants or fast food while staying in Granada. Follow the locals' culture and have dinner/lunch ordering drinks in one of the hundreds tapa-bars. For €1.5-2€, you will get a beer and a tapa, with the size and quality depending of the bar. I got full with the third tapa, so it's a cheap way to eat. The best I have been to was maybe La Antigualla (Elvira St.) but there are lots of good ones.
The staff was really friendly. They had a problem with our reservation (they gave us a room that wasn't empty) but they solved it upgrading us to a better room. It was better than several 3 or 4-starred hotels and views to the square were really nice. Bathroom was a bit small though.
Quality-price ratio was really good. I think we paid €46 for our room, which is a great deal.
I would recommend it to anybody interested in getting the most of Granada.
