We were looking for a clean hotel with rooms that were of a reasonable size and a central location. We found all the above in the Dauro 2. The location was excellent and the breakfast wich was included in the price was one of the best continental breakfast I have had. I would stay here again and would strongly recommend it.

We returned from the Best Western Dauro II in Granda a week ago. The hotel was in a very central location on a pedestrianized street with lots lovely resturants. It was about a 5 minute walk from were the airport bus drops you off ( the driver will shout out Hotel Navas which is on the same street as the Best Western ).
The rooms were quite, average size and of normal Best Western decoration .It was very hot so the air-con was much appreciated. The breakfast in the mornings was buffet style, there was a very good choice of hot and cold food avaliable. The hotel also has a bar/resturant with tables outside which was reasonably priced.
There were plenty of shops near by and the tourist information office and El Corte Ingles were a 2 minute walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful and kept our bags after we checked out as we had a late flight back to England. We would stay here again if we returned to Granada.

This was probably the most difficult location to get to with a car. I would recommend you ask the hotel to send you specific driving directions. The front of the hotel is positioned on a pedestrian street, so you need to arrive at the rear entrance and then they will park your car for you in their remote lot for 12 Euro per day.

Our room was very large, and very clean. The decor was a bit dated and could use some updating, but we didn't really care.

We were walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the Cathedral and other historic sights. It was easy to catch a small bus to the Alhambra. We actually took the bus (32)on it's full loop and discovered some very quaint areas of the town where the locals live. (small white village near the caves)

They have internet access in the lobby for a minimal charge which was nice.

The staff was very helpful in providing directions and recommendations on what to see and how to get there. They also recommended a great local restaurant for us, just around the corner.

When it came time to leave we were concerned about being able to get out of the historic district with all one way streets and on our way to our next destination. One of the staff who had retrieved our car actually drove us to the edge of the city and where we could easily get back on our route. What service!!

We spent 4 lovely days in Granada at the Best Western Dauro 11 hotel. Our bedroom was clean and spacious with a newly fitted bathroom. The breakfasts were very good with excellent buffet style fare.

The hotel is handily situated at the end of Navas, a street containing many tapas bars and restaurants, so there is no need to go hungry or thirsty. Although this is a busy street our room overlooked a side street but there was little noise from the street, even though it was festival time in Granada. The only noise in the bedroom was from the lift (our room being next to it) but this was of little consequence.
It is not an easy hotel to find however. If you are travelling on the airport shuttle bus get off at the DARRO stop, cross the road towards the hotel Dauro (sister hotel to Dauro11)turn left and walk towards a fountain(passing a large store) just before the fountain turn right, cross a couple of roads and head past the Chikito restaurant, walk up the left side of Plaza Mariana Pineda (tourist office in Plaza) and head towards a little street by a pizzeria,Dauro 11 is straight ahead.

We would definitely use the Dauro 11 again if we visited Granada.
The Alhambra is a must and we believe that the system of alocating tickets may be changing and may be bought from Tourist offices but check. We booked our tickets well ahead.

The Dauro II is a good, centrally located hotel, right next to a selection of nice tapas bars. Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and decent breakfasts. It's very convenient for the shops, markets, Alhambra etc. The only negative is they seem to have a problem with the plumbing as we could hear other people's showers and toilets as loud as though they were in our room. We stayed in Granada for four days which is sufficient to see most things, including one day's skiing in the Sierra Nevada which is a 45 minute bus ride away but a great day out.
