We, two not very able pensioners, were here for a whole week and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly..
We had no problems with the bus from Malaga airport to the coach station, or the coach to Granada, but it was not easy to know when to get of the bus into the centre as the Cathedral is easy to miss.
We had a reasonable sized room on the second floor, at the front. On leaving the lift there were just 6 shallow stairs along the corridor, no big deal. There was a little noise from the road outside but we were able sleep to with the windows open. If there had been a problem we would have closed them and switched on the air conditioning - no noises penetrated the double glazing.
The room was well decorated - fairly recently - and the beds were confortable. For those unable to do without TV on holiday there was BBC World.
The breakfast could have have been better but it is 3 Star after all and was adequate. The girls on Reception could not have been more cheerful or helpful. Altogether a good experience.
We found some good restaurants for dinner, i. e. Chikto, Pilar del Toro, La Salinas and El Agua . Although free we thought the Tapas a little overrated.
Granada has so much more than The Alhambra. The Cathedral and buildings near it such as the Capilla Real, and the 2 Monasteries, were well worth a visit, as was the Albayzin, the old part of the city. This was composed of steep, narrow cobbled and narrow streets and contained many interesting buildings as well as views and atmosphere. The main shopping areas were to be found to the west and north of the hotel on the roads radiating from the the Puerta Real.
