Loved the location of this hotel. Off a pedestrian street with lots of action: food, tapas, bars . Although very busy and noisy, it was quiet since it was the far end of the street. Because of this location, you had entry/exit points from 3 different streets. Very close to the center plaza.

The hotel needs a little bit of cosmetic work to update to 2007 but overall was a good quality hotel with excellent buffet in the breakfast room . Front desk was accomodating since there was construction across the street they offered a larger room on the other side of the hotel for the same price.

Restaurant not fancy but the wait staff was great and friendly. We tipped the waitress and she was very appreciative. The food was good for the price.

I'd stay here again for location, ease, professionalism and price.

Just returned from Granada after spending 3 nights at the Bestwestern Dauro II on C. Navas. The hotel was good and the staffs were very helpful and friendly. Room size was bigger than we expected. We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. It had a European king size bed, a single and a sofa bed. Hotel's location was excellent, within 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral, the Alcaiceria (souvenir shopping area) and a department store (El Corte Ingles). One can also get a bus (1 Euro each) or taxi (4-5 Euro) to Alhambra. Breakfast was adequate but with limited selection of hot food. There are number of resturants on C. Navas. We tried Nuevo Restaurante down the street on 25 Navas and it was very good with inexpensive prices. We also tried Resturant Sevilla for lunch based on other's recommendations. Sevilla was a bit more touristy since it is next to the Cathedral. Food was fair and it was a bit more expensive. Overall, the hotel served our purpose and Alhambra was amazing. Too bad the Courtyard of the Lions and the Hall of the Kings were under restoration while we were there.

It's a Best Western, with typical middle-America decor (once you're in the room, you don't feel like you're in Spain anymore). But the location is fantastic (close to several key plazas and fantastic restaurants) and very convenient. In addition, despite its central location, it is on a very quiet alley that allows you to sleep in. The staff were very friendly.

Very good hotel in great location with helpful staff
We stayed in this hotel from 9th – 13th October 2007 and to put it plainly, we would like to return there. The hotel is ideally situated in an small street (Calle Navas) with hardly any traffic and many small terraces. For a good glass of beer and delicious tapas try number 14. The hotel has a cafeteria, but the food is not great. The bus stop from and to the airport is within 400 or 500 meters. Many objects of interest and many shops are within walking distance. Near the hotel there is a parking at about 12 euro’s a day. There is internet at 1,50 euro for half an hour. In the TV-room you will find coffee and tea for free. Staff is very helpful.
We had a large twin room (nr. 225) with a rather large bathroom with a small bath tub. The room is very good soundproofed so that you can hardly hear anything from outside. The beds are broad with solid box-spring mattresses. The room and the bathroom are perfectly cleaned (on arrival there is a smell of bleach in the bathroom and the toilet seat was disinfected). There is a table, a mini-bar, a clock-radio and a TV with, apart from the Spanish channels, has only two German ones and BBC (no CNN or Eurosport).
Breakfast is good and plentiful but not special (no fresh jam/marmalade, fresh yoghurt or buttermilk), but for those who love English breakfast there are scrambled eggs and ham too.
Apart from Alhambra, which is really great, walk along the Darro and visit Paseo de los Tristes, where there are several terraces and where you have a nice view on the Alhambra, especially in the early evening when the sun is going down. Albaicin is worth a visit too.

We have just had a long weekend at this hotel which was good value and in a good location, Calle Navas. About 5 mins walk from the cheap airport bus stop (3 EUROS) this is a pedestrianised street full of tapas bars but the hotel is at the end away from the majority of them and is not affected by noisy Spanish late-night eating. The hotel is 3* and better than another 3* hotel in the same street where our friends stayed. There is a bar and restaurant with typical spanish dishes at reasonable prices though we preferred the atmosphere of the street and further afield. The room was well- appointed with aircon but rather small and not much storage but that didn't matter for a few days. Lovely bathroom-Pierre Cardin tiles-signed!
The receptionist spoke excellent English and made helpful phone calls when our friend lost his wallet even though he was not staying in our hotel.
The number 32 minibus to go to the Alhambra stops round the corner from the low numbers end of the street as we discovered after we had walked up to the Plaza Nueva to get it.
Late September was a good time to go as there is a lot of walking to see the Alhambra and the old town. It reached 33 degrees in the late afternoon but earlier in the day was quite comfortable for sightseeing.
