“Enjoyable Moroccan with friendly staff near Sacromontes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Reasonable moroccan away from the tourist traps on the other side of the Albaicin (Restaurant Arrayanes etc). Tagine of lamb with almonds and dates was brilliant as was the cous cous with Chicken and honeyed onions. Skewers cooked properly, though some of the lamb a little fatty... our only minor gripe from 2 visits here. Aubergine salad (babaganoush) was first rate.

“Best middle-eastern food we've ever had!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

We liked it so much we ate here two days in a row. It was also close to our apartment in Sacromonte. Seems like everything on the menu is excellent!! And we tried almost every section -- vegetable and meat stew (can't remember its exact name), skewers (perfectly grilled), and the Hummus -- freaking delicious — do not miss this!!! Oh, the baked rice is yummy too!
The chef is a one man show, and is really nice if you strike a conversation with him - he speaks 5 languages!
The shisha (smoke from a genie bottle) is expensive though... 10 euro per person.
Eating here made me like Moroccan food instantly!

“Delicious and authentic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

This restaurant is very authentic Moroccan. The service was a bit slow, and our server seemed a little distracted, but the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. They also had a nice variety of options on the menu. One thing to note...there is no alcohol served on the premises (perhaps the owners are Muslim?), so if you are looking for an alcoholic beverage to accompany your meal (rather than the multitude of teas they serve), this may not be the place for you.
