This was a beautiful hotel in a great location. Large clean room and bathroom, with easy elevator access. Conveniently located about 30 minutes slow walk from Generalife, another 30 minutes walk through the gardens to Alhambra entrance.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the one big downfall of this hotel is the noise. If you want a good night's sleep , you still need those earplugs. However, the location is great, the room is clean, although the climate control didn't seem to be working, but we never really tried to get it to work either.
Breakfast buffet is fine as are the employees, Although I was surprised that the girl at the desk didn't know where we had to go to catch the Airport Bus. It was too far away anyway, and I ended up taking a taxi for 20 Euros from the nearby taxi stand.
Road construction is really inconvenient these days in Granada.
Give yourself a 1/2 hour to get to the airport.
In sum, the hotel is in a super convenient location, but along with that comes the street noise at night that is definitely bothersome.
Hotel is very conveniently placed, but rather noisy inside and out. Room was clean and big enough for us, we only stayed one night. Garage for the car across the street involved taking the car in a lift to a floor 3 stories below - an eerie experience. Staff were very helpful. Granada is a great city and the Alhambra amazing.
I stayed here for two nights last week. Like the previous reviewer, I booked on Rick Steves' recommendation. God bless Rick Steves for his good travel advice, but this hotel kinda missed the mark.
The room: The single was a closet. For the money, I would have expected more space. The place is loud, too, such that any doors/talking from other floors will echo in your room.
The neighborhood: It's close enough to Plaza Nueva to be convenient, so I can't complain about this.
The staff: They were courteous and helpful, so this is a plus.
On Saturday, I wandered a bit on Gran Via Colon around 10 or 11-ish. I wouldn't recommend this. Out of Madrid, Barca, and Sevilla, this was the least safe I felt on a whole 2-week trip. Thuggish teenagers congregate a couple of blocks from the hotel, and try to impress girls by kicking cars, yelling at passerbys, etc etc. This American made a quick exit, let me tell ya. This experience made Granada seem less quaint than trashy to me. Madrid at midnight felt safer. Of course, the hotel can't help this.
Alhambra is still worth the trip to Granada. Overall, not terribly impressed with the hotel though.
I had booked this hotel based on photos on the internet and Rick Steve's description as a modern, comfortable hotel. the pictures on line are very dated (were they taken years ago when the hotel opened?). The photos make it look like it is large and imposing fromthe outside. In fact, it is cramped and when we all walked into the lobby our mouths dropped. To be kind, the hotel is long in the tooth. The lobby is old and dilapidated. We had booked a triple after they assured me on line that they have triples which fit three people comfortably. We asked to see the room before checking in, and our worst suspicions were confirmed. The room had a double bed and they planned to put a cot between the bed and the wall. Obviously a small cot since the nightable consisted of a piece of wood screwed into the wall. Our luggage didn't even fit in the room let alone add a child's size cot! The interesting thing is that their prices are not all that reasonable either. We went to the new Hesperia hotel which was fabulous and great value!
