“Quaint hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012 via mobile

Right in the heart of Granada, quite difficult to find, do not follow sat. nav. Follow instructions given by hotel, even then be careful, it's down a very narrow street, luckily the person on reception parked our car for us on arrival (quite a relief). We were given a room with a view of the Alhambra, unfortunately it was on the 4th floor and the lift only goes to the 3rd, didn't spoil our stay though. In a great bustling street with loads of bars which give free tapas every time you buy a drink so no need to buy lunch! No tea/coffee in rooms so if you like your morning coffee take your own kettle etc. glad we did. Would stay there again without doubt, Granada is a lovely city and the people are very friendly. Walking tour was great too.

Driving to the hotel and parking was a bit of a hassle. Hope I don't get a ticket in the mail. Typical NH as it was clean and organized. I have previously stayed at the other NH in Granada and loved it. Price is very reasonable for what you get.

Hotel is just opposite the Cathedral in an alley/lane just off the Gran Via and close to Plaza Nueva. The # 31 ( to the Albayzin ) and #30 (to the Alhambra) bus stops which are on the Gran Via are right next to the entrance to the alley. Very clean well maintained rooms with a comfortable bed. Nicely air conditioned and quiet (when booking, ask for a room not facing the street- some rooms overlook the courtyard which are very nice and quiet). Bedroom size was a bit small -but as one of the other reviewers stated this is Europe - you can't expect large sized rooms at this value price. Only downside is the 30 minute limit to wireless access. However, the receptionist was very nice and offered to allow me to have another password to extend it for another 30 min. Staff is helpful and courteous and speak English. Skip the buffet breakfast - nothing exceptional for the price you pay. Plenty of cafes to choose around the Plaza Nueva. Note: room has only 1 key which has to be dropped off at the reception every time you leave the hotel. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Request a room that does not overlook the street but instead overlooks into the courtyard/lobby area...

Great value and location right in the center of own close to all of the major attractions. The hotel is spotless clean, nice rooms, good beds and they serve a good breakfast. The front desk staff spoke poor English and it seemed that they were doing you a favor. I would stay here again without any hesitation.

The hotel is in a bad need for a reovation, although is very well located.
My bedspread had a hole in it. The courtains are just for decoration , you cannot close them completely to obtain a dark room because they are not wide enough.I complained about it and they said that they did not understand my spanish which is my mother language.
The orange juice of the breakfast tasted sour.
My daughter and sons bedroom smelled to cigarretes. They tried to solve the problem with a tower for odours and it worked.
When we walked downwards from El mirador of el albayazin and arrived to downtown, the hotel was just right there.
To really enjoy Granada you need a great pair of walking shoes because in la alhambra you walk for three or four hours.
El albayacin is a hill since we just slept in Granada one day, we had to walk to both places in the same day. Its doable but you need to stay fit, or when you just walk down the alhambra alameda you just can take a bus to go upwards and then go downwards by foot taking pictures and buying souvenirs.

Room Tip: Ask for a bedroom which is at the end of the hall, so it is more quiet.

We were looking for a place to stay in Granada while visiting the Alhambra, and this was great! Centrally located and VERY affordable (we had just been in Madrid and Barcelona and could not belive the difference in rates; 1/3!). Wonderful staff, very helpful. Clean and ok sized rooms (remember, this is Europe). Bathroom was a little above average (for Europe). It is a little difficult to get to, but is in a great downtown area (just follow their directions from the website).

The room was big enough to fit us and our bags with room to move. The showers are great as well as the bathroom amenities. The location is tough to access with a car. Driving in Granada is extremely restricted. There is a parking garage really close to the door, but it's a tricky path through a labyrinth to find it. There is an Irish Bar out front that was great fun. Go chat with the owner-Tony in the afternoons. Everything is within walking distance, and there's buses if you don't feel like walking. I never heard any street noise at night, and slept like a baby. We really enjoyed our stay here.
