We stayed here just one night (we were on a week's tour of multiple cities). Of the three hotels that we stayed in, this was the nicest of them all. The room was large and very comfortable (I wanted to take the pillow home, but I didn't). The bathroom was spacious, clean and nicely fixtured. The hotel was only a 5 or 10 minute walk to the main shopping area, and I felt comfortable walking it by myself at night (early evening, but after dusk). I wish we had spent more than one night there.
Very modern hotel.
I first booked a room with a queen or king bed, and i got two twins, that was quicky taken care off.
Hotel has a good location on the city, not in the center but a few euros on cab.
Modern hotel with modern rooms, it has a nice terrace with a small pool and a jacuzzi. Just enougth for my taste and a the hotel rate.
Hotel parking was a bit expensive for my taste 15 euros a day, i recomend not to use your car when visiting the city or the Alahmbra, its hard to get parking and taxis are very cheap. Ask a driver for there buseiness card, that way you can call them when you are ready to go, specially in the sacromonte area where cabs dont go around as easy as in the city center.
Everything else was very good, nice location, good attention.
In my web search for a hotel in Granada, I wanted a modern hotel that had an underground secure parking space for my car. I wanted a four star hotel that was new and had a good rating from guests. I always prefer modern buildings because they usually have better amenities than older buildings and I prefer comfort rather than staying in old historic buildings. My search ended with the Hotel Granada Center, which had reasonable hotel rates.
When we entered the lobby of this 6 story hotel, we were impressed because it had a very high atrium with a lot of light from the skylight ceiling. The hotel corridors opened up to this atrium and the doors of all of the rooms faced the atrium. This atrium was invented many years ago by the American architect John Portman and this hotel looked a bit in miniature like the famous Hyatt Regency Hotel in the Embarcadero of San Francisco. The atrium of the Hotel Granada Center had several beautiful brass lamps that were hanging from the ceiling, and they reminded me of balls on a Christmas tree.
The hotel desk clerk was very courteous, friendly, and efficient. I asked for a room that was quiet and she told me she was assigning me a room on the 5th floor that faced the main street, but that the hotel was built with soundproofing, so that there would be little street noise. The porter then helped us get our luggage from our car in the underground parking. He was also very friendly, which impressed me.
When we reached our room, we were impressed by the size of the room. It was huge for a 4 star hotel, and it even included a sofa. The hotel is 15 years old, but has been remodeled 3 years ago. The bathroom was big and new, very comfortable. The room had a mini refrigerator too. Every thing in the hotel was very clean.
The hotel is located on the Avenida Fuente Nueva and it is between 15 and 20 minutes away from the Cathedral walking. Across from the hotel is the University of Granada Science Center. We tried the breakfast buffet of the hotel and it was good and adequate. In conclusion, we were very satisfied with the hotel and will return in the future.
My wife & I went to the Hotel to celebrate our 22nd Wedding Aniversary.
I booked a non smoking double room, we ended up with a twin, smoking. The beds were uncomfortable(toohard) and the pillows were like tree trunks(ended up with neck ache).
Tried to order roomservice for breakfast the following morning, the order was never taken, told reception, nothing happened.
The evening meal was expensive and quality was very poor as was the breakfast, orange juice was orange squash and very watery.
4 star prices for a 2 star hotel.....never again, be warned!!!!!
