“Such amazing history! Visually stunning!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

Walked to the cathedral from our hotel and it was so gorgeous to see! A little construction was under way in the center of the cathedral, but wasn't obnoxiously loud at all.

Beware of the palm readers right outside the grounds. They try to hand you a sprig of some sort of leaf. Do not accept it. They will read your palm for u if u do and expect to be paid for it. These woman are in front of every cathedral or church-like establishment in Spain, which I found to be hilarious.

“A feeling of divine serenity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

I was very much impressed by this magnificent cathedral whose exceptionally high ceiling gloriously decorated almost made me dizzy looking up at it. It has wonderful old paintings with religious scenes and elaborated altars and chapels and it's SO spacious inside.

“Historical!”

Do not try to rush this visit. The Catedral is very beautiful and huge. So much to look at and take in.

“Excellent detour from the shops”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

I liked everything it had to offer, the artefacts, pictures and costumes. You can also go downstairs to see the tombs which are very interesting. Reasonably priced and it doesn't take much time to go round.

“Overwhelming scale and detail but quiet reflection still possible”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013 via mobile

While travelling in Europe it is possible to become "churched out" but this is one not to miss. The scale and detail of the Cathedral can sometimes be overwhelming but it is still possible to enjoy a quiet moment of reflection here. No photography is allowed and this is enforced. Recommend seeing the Capilla Real too if you have time so you can go down into the Crypt.
