We visited Granada primarily to see the Alhambra. This hotel is adjacent to the park surrounding the site and an easy walk for the visit. It was the right place for us. For those who are interested in seeing more than the Alhambra, the hotel is outside of town, and although you can walk to and from, the hotel sits on a hill above the city, which is a bit of a climb. There is bus service to the area, however. Although modernized, the facility on the inside, reminds me of a grand old hotel. It is decorated with a Moorish theme, which is fitting to the site and I found delightful; not at all like a theme park. Our bedroom and the bathroom were the same size, which is to say a very small bedroom and an average size bath. Both were very clean and usable. What made up for the smallness of the bedroom was the view. We were on the side towards town and had a small balcony/walkway outside our room; not meant for those with fear of heights. The view, both day and night, was lovely and the breezes through the open window were adequate without the use of air conditioning. Not unpleasantly, you could hear voices drifting up from the neighborhood below. The view from the bar is amazing; town and the snow cap of the Sierra Nevadas with birds constantly circling nearby. The drinks were good, as were the ever present almonds. Lunch here was very good and service was attentive. The breakfast buffet was very good, fresh fruit being the highlight. If I returned to Granada I would stay here.
