“Terrific Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We visited the hotel, another a couple of hundred yards from The Alhambra entrance, during the winter off season. So it was elegant and quiet, very clean, and with gracious personnel. It has been updated, some work is still underway, but very discreet. We'd highly recommend this hotel for travels who want an elegant stay overlooking the city.

Room Tip: be sure to be overlooking the city.

Lovely old hotel with spectacular views of Granada from the restaurant terrace. the staff here were some of the nicest and friendliest I have encountered. It made our stay in Granada exceptional. Thank you to the lovely girl on reception.

Beautiful hotel close to Alhambra but downside is it is 15 minute walk from the main attractions in the city. Staff are courteous and very helpful. Restaurant has good food but expensive. The views are gorgeous from the rooms. The hotel was very quiet probably because it was off season. The front staff were very helpful in making Callisto make reservations for us. Had a wonderful time!

I am so glad we chose to stay here, it was truly a luxurious hotel with beautiful architecture and design-reminded me of Indian palaces in Jaipur. The staff were very friendly and helped with local suggestions. They also gave us walking directions to the city. It is also just a short walk from the palace. There was a national labor strike on one of the days that we were there and we felt very safe and had a chance to enjoy the hotel. The rooms were spacious with a nice view of the city. They could upgrade the carpet as they seemed a bit old. No coffee maker in the room, but the bar and restaurant staff were very nice and was always a pleasure to go down for a cup of coffee or drinks. They even made yummy vegetarian sandwiches for us, late one night. The breakfast spread was extensive and really yummy. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend Alhambra Palace hotel.

We loved our two night stay at Alhambra Palace hotel. From the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen the right place to stay. Perfect location to visit Alhambra as its only minutes to walk there. Stunning Arabesque style architecture and wonderful view of the city below.
Our rooms unfortunately did not have a great view but were comfortable, warm and close together.
The bar area is a great place to relax, have a drink and take in the stunning surroundings of both the hotel and view. Dinner was very delicious and service excellent. Breakfast also was very good.
The hotel organised a three hour tour of Alhambra for our family and we were impressed with the knowledge of our guide. We had a very enjoyable tour. Overall we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Alhambra.

The hotel is conveniently situated about 10 mins from the Alhambra Palace. The old town of Granada was a downhill walk which took about 10 mins. There were various ways to access the old town, all very interesting. Our room was on the 4th floor and included a balcony. It overlooked Granada where we also enjoyed the sunset. The room was very clean but the bathroom was a little cramped. The hotel's terrace was a very relaxing place to be and we enjoyed views of the Sierra Nevada and Granada. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The decor was traditional Moorish and the hotel is updating some of the areas. We plan to return here in the future.

Room Tip: Our room was 401 which included a large balcony. It looked over Granada and we also enjoyed the suns...

We decided to visit Granada and get away from rainy England and all the New Year festivities. Luckily I chose this wonderful old hotel, a ten minute walk up the hill, to the Alhambra. We had a junior suite which was large and full of character. There is a very moorish\arabic feel to the hotel which reminded us of The Mamounia in Marrakech before it had its makeover. Truthfully the Alhambra Palace is dated but we both loved the feeling of space and you could not rival the views over Granada. The ladies at the Reception were incredibly friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough to help us with choice of restaurants and getting about in Granada. The real winner was the terrace with its breathtaking views over Granada. We had tea and drinks there every day and watched the sun turning red and slowly going down - the snow capped mountains glistening in the background was another magical sight.

We had breakfast in little cafes as we are not great breakfast eaters but the large restaurant served a good buffet breakfast every morning. The walk down to the town was an easy 15 minutes or so and all the upping and downing was good exercise! We both agreed this was a hotel we would return to if visiting Granada again. I have never slept so well as at the Alhamabra Palace as it was so quiet and the large bed was extremely comfortable.

Room Tip: The junior suites are situated two floors below the reception area and are incredibly quiet with lot...
