As we had a few days in Granada, we wanted a tour to fill some time. I was a little hesitant but very happily surprised.
Meeting us in town, our guide, Beatriz and driver took us out to local village. We learnt about olive tree cultivation, grove maintenance (a lot more interesting than it sounds), visited a 15th century oil press and then did olive oil taste testing, learning about how to read labels and the 'tricks of the trade' (or how to spot inferior oils).
A great morning or afternoon, with lots to learn and not a dull moment.
Breath-taking views of the Sierra Nevada on the way up too - bonus!
