“nice people and good atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

very helpful reception staff and great kitchen for guests. Beautiful lounge area and good central location. unfortunately my room was very dirty and I got sick from the dust (and other junk and debris) under and behind the beds which hadn't been cleaned for weeks (two nights stay). Not a good place for people with allergies. Suggest you check out the room before sleeping in it.

The staff here were absolutely great. I was traveling solo and they did a good job engaging everyone and hosting fun social/hostel events. The location was also great. I stayed in a small 8 bed, mixed room with a private bathroom. I didn't think there were enough outlets in the room itself but aside from that. No major complaints. Very clean. and super close to everything. There was only Wifi on the main floor/lounge. (I've also stayed in Oasis Seville, and Lisbon)

I stayed here as a solo traveller for 3 nights and loved every minute of it.
The hostel organises free walking tours for guests to see Granada at night and the caves etc during the day & I recommend doing both if you have the time. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly & well deserve a tip at the end of the tour. The reception staff are very helpful and can arrange tickets to Alhambra and it is well located in the Moroccan feel district with cool cafe's and cheap places to eat all around.
The on site bar is convenient & the Polish barman (who's name I can't remember!) is awesome & does some great deals.
The hostel is clean with lockable storage lockers in each room and a fully equipped kitchen with free tea & coffee and a decent breakfast.
I'd have loved to stay longer!!

All in all a great hostel! Loved the roof terrace, even though our room (6-bed dorm) was quite small. On the weekend, they served fresh seafood Paella (4€) or Pasta (for free!), which tasted delicious! The hostel staff was very friendly (english speaking as well) and when the guys in the room next door (bachelor's party) were really loud at night, they solved this "problem" by asking them so leave the hostel and have their party in another place :-) Clean bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and great breakfast with Pancakes!

Great location, although the staired roads to the hostel are a little inconvenient with a suitcase it was well worth the effort. Staff super helpful and friendly, are accommodating and plan day trips for guests. Had a great stay here!

Pros: 1. location was perfect! Very central.
2. The bar was cheap
3. Their meals at night are very affordable! They made a vegan salad one night! Yay!
4. Most of the staff are awesome!
5. They had brown bread at breakfast!
6. Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate all day!

Cons:
1. There are mini-fridges in the rooms...gross smells!
2. There were no outlets to plug in electronics in the room.
3. The people in my room were disgusting--not the hostels fault! But, our bathroom was disgusting because of it.
4. The common areas are all segregated making it difficult to meet people.
5. No personal lamps at your bed (very important, I think)
6. The rooms overall were small, the beds uncomfortable, the fridge was smelly and loud.
I would stay again just because I know it's average, but I've heard of better locations in Granada. Sorry Oasis, but if I can help it, I don't think I'll be using another one of your facilities, even if your staff was awesome.

I had a great time at this hostel. Awesome roof-top terrace, great location, and a really really nice hostel. They also have happy hour at the bar, a nice kitchen and the room was pretty nice too with ensuite bathroom. I was sad to leave :-( Highly recommend it!
