“Nice restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Great food. We had the suckling pig which was done to perfection and presented in an earthernware dish. Again be careful with the tapas tradition if you go early for a drink before sitting down. The choice of tapas look so appetising that you might spoil your meal.

“Fabulous service and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

We found this place for a drink first which offered superb tapas witha glass of wine or beer. We booked and had a special meal which was complimented by a great bottle of local red wine. The main was recommended to us and the suckling pig did not disappoint.

“Fell down in so many ways”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

We wanted an authentic Andalusian restaurant and were recommended here by our hotel, as it seems so many reviewers were, but then you do trust a hotel to have local knowledge, don't you.

Nothing remarkable about the first course in any way, but we went for the "signature" suckling pig and we were very disappointed. It looks like a classy restaurant, but served the meal on cold plates, which really is a basic error in any restaurant. The vegetables that accompanied were tasteless, overlooked and uninspiring - and they too came out on a cold plate.

We came away with the impression that they were charging top dollar and trading on their old reputation - very disappointing.

Worst of all was when I was paying the bill they took my card away from the table. Many travellers will have heard stories of this - the golden rule is never let the card out of your site. When I followed it they were obviously annoyed that I didn't trust them.

“Continental Flavor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

This well-lighted restaurant with impressionist paintings on the wall is warm and welcoming. The specialite is roast suckling pig which is served already sliced and without reminders like the poor piggy's head. It was my first, and it was delicious. It is served with fresh and savory veggies. The waiters are mature and experienced. It was a lovely evening and a pleasant surprise was the modest bill.

“Upmarket authentic Spanish Cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

When you visit any large town or city you have a many restaurants to choose from. Many will be tourist "gotchas" so, if you want good, authentic, local cuisine you have to ask for recommendations. This restaurant was recommended to us by two separate, unconnected locals, so we gave it a try. We weren't disappointed! We wanted to try the roast sucking pig (local specialty) and it was superb. Spanish fine dining in the centre of Granada.
