I'm 52 years old. I took my 22 year old son to Granada. We were on a budget, but I also wanted him to experience a hostel for the first time. Maktub seems to attract a slightly mellower crowd, and is not a party hostel. We met a lot of wonderful people from all over the world, ranging in age from 20's to 40's. Homemade whole wheat bread is provided at breakfast. The owner is very nice, and hires helpers - the ones we met were super nice. The location is perfect, yet quiet at night. The cons: the beds aren't super comfy (you can feel the springs), the rooms don't have enough shelves or hooks for your stuff, and they cram a bit too many people in each room. But other than that, it's a great place, and I recommend it.
