“Don't stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

Our flight was delayed and from the airport we booked in here until the next morning
It was very expensive
Steep steps up and no one to help
Old lift with broken buttons unhelpful staff
No air con - old fan sweltering and bolted up unit
Guy made us wait for 45 mins to even see the room as had not got papers yet
Booked into another hotel five mins away for half the price and a hundred times better
Was like a cell block could not wait to be out of there
This is the first time ever I have written a bad review but really felt the need!

Stayed at this hotel in October 2011 with my partner and our 2 young girls on the all inclusive basis and I have to say I was quite impressed with it. The hotel was very clean and tidy and the rooms although small were more than adequate for our needs, if there was one downside to the room it that there was only 1 English (news) TV channel (although the kids did watch the Spanish Disney channel!). It is only 2mins from the beach which is very handy. The food was average, I found something to eat every night with no problem but my kids did struggle some nights to find something they liked (we did end up in burger king a few times to feed them!). The pool and garden are very good, but, I can imagine in the high season it would be very overcrowded with not many sun beds too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The entertainment team were great with the kids, the shows on the night were OK too but were on a bit too late for my kids to stay up to watch. Overall this hotel is great value for money.

I stayed at this hotel 16th to 26th of June 2012 and it was good, i went with my wife and my 4 year twin girls on a Half
Board basis, We stayed on the 5th Floor with balcony overlooking the pools which was ok, the rooms were small and w basic but had a small TV with 2 english (news) channels and other Spanish Channels, Good beds, nice Bathroom,Air con, maid service everyday and towels changed every other day. Hotel was Great, Hotel Entertainment and check in Staff very helpful. Kelly who work in the restaurant was friendly and helpful and really enjoyed having her around and so did my twins girls (thanks Kelly). the food was great, excellent choice given - Hot and cold foods for morning and evening meals, but some of the hot foods were cold.
The hotel had a lot of European guests but that was ok and some were friendly.
Hotel in a good location for shops, bars, supermarkets, buses and the train station (La Colina) was 15 to 20 mins walk
away, The beach was 2 mins walk.
When we return to the UK (London) one of my Twin girls started crying as she missed the swimming pools.
Thanks Parasol Grden Hotel for a good holiday.

I have just got back from a 5 night break at Parasol Garden. Hotel is really nice and the staff are helpful. Me and my partner went All Inclusive as it was a last minute deal. There was a good choice of food but always seemed to be just warm or cold unless we went down as soon as the restaurant opened. Good choice of salad, cold meats and desserts. My partner is a fussy eater but he always found something to eat! You could get whatever you wanted to drink on the All Inclusive option which saved a lot of money. The room was nice and clean, the maid came in everyday and made the bed and changed the towels. Even had air conditioning that we didn't have to pay for! Pool was nice, not big and always too busy to have a swim and it was cold! I spent most of my time in the whirlpool as it was hot and it was nice to chill out. Entertainment was ok, went to watch the flamenco show the first night Never went after that as not much on so went for a walk down the prom. When we checked out at 12pm on the last day, we weren't getting picked up til 8.30pm and the All Inclusive stopped as soon as we checked out. If you want to carry it on, it costs 30 euros per couple which is awful. Didn't even give us a fresh towel for a shower after being round the pool all day before we left. Hotel is in a good location, it's right next to the shops, beach and prom. Great hol as the weather was good to us, only downside was the food and the All Inclusive when we checked out.

Room Tip: If you can't use a lot of steps ask for a room as low as you can! The lifts are very small and s...

Just got back from a weeks stay here. Lovely place! Not sure how people can complain about the food as the choice and standard was excellent. Every dish you could possibly think of was available! Some people must be very very fussy!! Hotel is clean, rooms aren't as spacious as they appear on the website but they are clean which is the main thing. Location is fabulous, right by the beach, pool area nice, but I can imagine it being crowded in peak season as its seems a little small for the hotel itself. Staff were very friendly and even put a meal on for us as we only arrived there around 10pm. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and would visit again. Thanks Hotel Parasol!

Returned this morning after spending five days. WE were a group of five friends aged from 40 to 77. This Hotel was a last minute booking as we were let down by our original hotel. We would thoroughly this Hotel to anyone looking for good food, excellent staff and surroundings. I was hoping to manage a word with the Manager before we left to commend him on his staff, but just missed him. This not a hotel for those who want the usual Spanish chicken and chips etc that some hotels serve as the food a lttle different than usual with a tremendous choice.
