“Great stay, friendly staff.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

I spent a week here just a few weeks ago. Nice, clean and well maintained room. Very friendly maids round everyday to clean and tidy, new sheets and towels if required. Lovely garden and pool area, again well looked after on a daily basis. Supermarket within a few minutes walking and an excellent bus service.

I arranged for my brother to join me on my holiday and the hotel were very happy to accommodate although they did charge me rather a large supplement to do so. They were very quick to refund me most of it though.

Didn't try the restaurant but there are plenty of alternative places to eat within walking distance.

Location is a little way from Torremolinos, 30min walk or a short taxi or bus journey.

All in all, on a budget price, you get a great place to stay and I would certainly recommend it and will return.

We have just returned from 12 days staying at this 1st rate hotel, it's our 3rd year & we've never been disappointed! From the location to the beach & amenities to the beautifully kept garden & pool area, the clean rooms, flexibility of arrivals, but most of all the very warm welcome from the owner, family and staff...this is a must if you are looking for somewhere quiet and well priced. Don't be put off by the hotel being on a main road, this is the first time we've been in one of the front rooms, and the traffic was never a problem...plus we had stunning views of the surrounding area.
Looking forward to a return visit next year.

Been staying here over the past 3 years. The friendliness and flexibility of the staff are an example to 4 star hotels. Well located a 5 minute walk to the beach and frequent buses to both Torremolinos and Benalmedna. Free WiFi and aircon in all rooms. Well maintained and cleaned every day. Very quiet, thankfully does not attract the stags. Small but adequate pool with enough sun beds The rooms overlooking the road can suffer from road noise. Breakfast is simple as you would expect for the price. Cant fault it, great value and a consistent experience which is why I keep returning.

Stayed at Carmen Teresa in September 2013...This hotel is a traditional Spanish hotel, the lady on reception was very helpful...and the hotel itself is clean and tidy. We had a ground floor room with a massive terrace which looked onto the beautiful gardens and swimming pool..we could not fault the actual hotel itself for what we paid...the negatives are more to do with where its situated...its a good 30 min walk into Torremolinos town centre which proved quite costly in taxi fares over a 10 day stay and also not many places stayed open late near by so guest's were coming back to the hotel to drink..and still being served drinks upto 2.30am in themorning!!...we were kept awake with noise of drunk guest's in the garden's till 4.30am two night's running before we had to ask to be moved...this did not spoil our stay but was something that should have been avoided...over all not a bad hotel but i would book somewhere nearer to Torremolinos if i was to go again!

Room Tip: I would try for a room on the third floor not over looking the garden's as guest's tended to...

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews for a week 20 - 27th October. The hotel is spotless & value for money, but it is just a base. The gardens were lovely, but you would not want to sit out to relax. It is on one of the busiest main roads & it is very noisy. I get all this you get what you pay for stuff, & did not expect too much, but we were a little disappointed. The swimming pool was disgusting! It was green by the time we left on the 27th! The breakfast was indeed awful & provided on a very tight budget I imagine, powdered milk for cereal, yuk! The drink machines provided half a cup at a time, again the milk was just grim. I can survive without food, but not coffee! It really was not drinkable. Take your own travel kettle, it will make all the difference. Rooms were really nice with a decent balcony, but again the traffic noise spoils the effect. Drinks were very cheap, but no real atmosphere for you to enjoy a drink there. Lovely staff. We enjoyed our week but probably would not go there again.

We stayed at this hotel from 5th-10th October and upon arrival late evening the receptionist was expecting us from our booking and this proceeded with a quick book in. During our stay they could not of been more helpful, from giving us a local map, train times and help with out TV.

The drinks were very reasonably priced and the atmosphere was lovely throughout the day and evening. The gardens are beautiful and secluded, meaning that you can be sat away from the pool in quiet if you want to, plus the sun starts on the gardens and pool and then moves around to the back of the pool at the end of day, ensuring sun throughout the day and lovely patches of shade!

The location is great for Montemar Alto station that takes you straight from the airport at about 3 euro's 70 for two people and then a walk straight over the bridge and down the hill and the hotel is there. So much cheaper than a taxi!

You are also 5 minutes from the beach down a small sloped street, great location for the beach, la carihuela which has lovely restaurants and about 10-15 minutes beach side walk to the harbour. We will deff be booking next year and can deff recommend this hotel.

Thank you for lovely short break!
