Just back from a long weekend, lovely clean hotel and so central to sea and shops. Good value for the money and will certainly be going back.

The Food (breakfast) was excellent also Happy Hour if you want it 5pm-6pm.

Fab position less than 1 minute from the long sandy beach, restaurants and cafes. Easy to get to from airport by train and a local taxi or use the bus. Very clean especially superior rooms on 5th floor. Sea view an extra 10 Euros per night - waste of money as looking over near roofs even if on 5th floor. Best to stay 5th Floor and have a room 517 - 520 as get a great view over a fab pool and gardens in another block. Sent an e mail a few days before going and they never acknowledged or replied - customer service at its best!!!
A safe will cost you an extra 19 euros per week and a towel for the pool requires a 12 Euro deposit and if you do not have one you cannot sit on the seats around the pool unless you have your own. There is an offer for 20% off drinks and when you ask you are told you have to pay 20 euros for a book of 10 tickets. Drinks at hotel are very expensive compared to the cafes around the area. Winston seems reasonbly priced and only a few minutes from hotel. Beds are extremly hard/ pillows poor and the LCD television in the room is a very small though does have BBC 1, 2 and 4. Room does have heating which is effective.

Mature staff are professional and junior staff do not seem happy in the service industry - seems a change taking place as young people want better jobs.

Breakfast ok though bacon does not seem cooked and not that great. The fried stuff tastes as if it is fried in lard. Presentation is not the best - especially the fried eggs. Buy your own orange juice as in the hotel it tastes as if it is packet and very sweet. Went half board and regretted it as evenning meal was of poor quality as was presentation. Had better meal at other Spanish hotels in October and December 2012 A dish eg was belly pork stewed - nice large bits of fat set in a congealed brown liquid. Did advise the reception that we thought the evenning meals were poor and that was that. What did annoy me was that the manageress was in the restaurant on a regular basis and walked around in the clothes she worked in all day - is this hygenic?

After paying for your weeks holiday you need an extra amount of money to stay at hotel if you want the following:-

Safe - 19 euros
Drinks discount - 20 euros
Towels each deposit - 12 euros (returned if you return towels)
Sea view - 70 euros per week

Pool is small and the garden both seem to be much of the time in the shade = may be different in summer.

Stay in the hotel as it is clean with good location but go bed and breakfast or room only. Shame great position.

Go to cinema at Plazza Major - Imax experience and very reasonable with films in english each day. Train stops right at the complex.

Stayed at this hotel in November for 2 weeks. Looked at all the reviews which mainly were very good, so went for this hotel, wasn't disappointed. Hotel is just back off the sea front and only 20 minutes walk to Benalmadena marina and 15/20 minutes walk to Calle San Miguel for great shopping and some good eateries. Walk out of the rear of hotel and you have some very good shops and restaurants, bars right on top of you. The hotel food was ok, always something to find, even for fussy eaters. Very nice spacious and clean rooms. The roof solarium is superb with its own bar and lovely ratton sun loungers.

A clean an pleasant hotel in a great location right in the heart of the Carihuela district. Parking right near the hotel was easy in December, but would be a problem at busier times of year. Food was good and reasonable choice. Rooms are called suites but basically, really a slightly larger than average double room.
This hotel is very popular with the Spanish and this gives in a more authentic feel than some Brit hotels.
I would definitely go back again.
