me and my girlfriend stayed here for a week. It was the worst week of our lives. The hotel was allocate on arrival - we did not chose the hotel!!!

As soon as we entered the hotel we realised it was definately not a 3* hotel. No air con, the staff spoke very little English and the rooms were tiny and not the cleanest!!!

The air con was at dictated times which never made sense and the noise off the system was enough to keep you awake. Various things in the room were broke (shower, toilet, door handle!!). The view was of a horrible building with locals making a lot of noise all night!! The pool was filled with junk (plasters, leaves, general dirt) and didnt appear safe at all. There were about 3 sun loungers.

The hotel food was really low quality, cold and disgusting!! we were half board and ate there once and then had to eat out!

There was no English in the hotel, mainly Spanish who just go for really cheap rubbish hotels!!

The area of the hotel in Torremolinos seemed like a third world country. I have seen cleaner streets in down town Baghdad. If you walked down to the coast it was nicer but the hotel location was unsuitable as surrounded by local run down flats!!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!! I would say if you go to Torremolinos make sure you stay in a beach front hotel!! NOT Califa!!

This place is awful nothing good to say about it! Broken shower was never fixed, replacement keys not available, air-con sounds like planes taking of! Piles and Piles of dirty laundry in reception. Breakfast - Off milk and 6 month old cereal.The swimming pool resembles a bird bath. Evening entertainment - CD on a loop (awful Spanish pop music) This place could do with a good.... Bulldozing.

NEVER NEVER NEVER Stay at this hotel unless you are absolutley forced to. It is a hell hole. As one spanish cab driver who picked me up from here said, "it is hotel big [--]*.
The rooms are like prisons, the air con doesnt work, and my balcony view was one of a 1970s delapidated noisy generator. There are approximatley 5 sun loungers to every 1000 guests and the bar opens for about 10 mins each day. There are no English speaking guests either and you very quickly work out why. I truly felt like I was on a set for "Fawlty Towers, does Spain"and that is being very generous. I truly doubt a film crew would touch this place with a barge pole unless it was filming "prisoner cell block H2.
A true horror to be avoided at all costs, so awful it has put me off Spain forever.......

We live near Torrie, and some friends booked 3 nights in here, albeit at a low price. Still a waste of money, they had to be moved after one night. The whole complex is VERY dated, the sort of thing Torrie Council have been trying, mostly successfully, to eliminate over the past 10 years. Room tiny, aircon, not working, food - literally - inedible.

Summa Hotels should be ashamed of themselves and Torrie Council should order the whole complex's immediate demolition. At least that would mean the roaches would have to find somewhere else to live.

The one star hostal we moved them to at very short notice was clean, bigger and airconditioned. And cheaper!

WARNING: This complex also masquerades under the name of the Medina Azahar, which is even lower down on Trip Advisor's list.
