Just returned from the Hotel riu belplaya a week ago (3rd feb)after having a lovely week"s holiday there,this was the 3rd time we have stayed in a riu Hotel which were excellent, so we were hoping to get the same quality we have come to know from riu hotels and i can say we were not disappointed,the hotel is very clean in all the public areas,the bedrooms are decorated nicely and are also immacutely clean,we were on the 6th floor and our maid who was called Pepa Quintado was lovely,she was happy,well mannered and her customer services skills as well as her cleaning were first rate,the food in the hotel was very good and we liked the idea on an evening whilst having you meal of getting your drinks yourself from the drinks taps around the restuarant,as for other staff restuarant staff very pleasant as were bar staff some more than others i might add,reception staff were a mixture of helpful but unpleasant,the two who served me on two occasions were carmel and oliver who were both very pleasant,but hey you can"t win em all can you,all in all a fab hotel glorious weather which made a lovely break and we would certainly return.

From check-in to checking out faultless. Staff could not do enough for you. Spotlessly clean, food very good with plenty of choice. Pool looked good but too cold to try. Located on the edge of town right by the beach, very flat for walking and ten mins to train station. Even the evening entertainment was good, well suited to the clientelle. If you need a break after xmas I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, management should be very proud of the excellent staff. Already looking forward to returning next january.

Had a fantastic time we. met Alfredo the new manager and it was so nice we met him in Riu Atlantic where. He and his staff were amazing the belplya are so lucky to have him as he is so god at his job thanks

Just returned - 3rd. Feb. after a weeks stay.
The value for money is exceptional. The location, right on the beach is perfect and it is in a quieter part of Torremolinos. If you want a busy night life outside the hotel - its not for you.You could not fault the food - a great variety with special a themed meal every night.
The staff could not be more helpful and seemed to enjoy what they were doing.
Just a point to note- I would say that the hotel would not suit the younger element. In fact I guess the average age when we were there was approaching 65 / 70.
All inclusive is always a bonus and we made best use of it.
We were allocated a room on the 9th floor - amazing views of the beach ,seafront,Torremolinos and the mountains- sun on the balcony all day.
Although the room was sold as a side sea view, they are all angled towards the sea. There are 2 blocks around the pool, In the 5 storey block, ask for floors 3/ 4/ or 5.
In the 9 story b lock ask for floors 7 / 8 or 9 - for best views. Although the hotel was full, there are no problems in finding a lounger around the pool.
It there was a downside, it was the evening shows. Considering there is no alternative outside in the evening, it was the only thing to do, The standard was very amateurish and the room quite small so there was always a problem in seating. Also I found the beds a little firm.
This is only a minor complaint however.
There is a bus stop outside the hotel to take you into the centre and the train station - called COLLINOS, is about a 10 to 15 min .walk. Both very cheap.
Will return without fail.
