“Excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for four days in a studio appt. Spacious room with plenty of cupboard space for clothes, fridge, sink, two ring cooker and comfy bed, small tv. Few min across the street to beach where a comfy sunbed is €4.50 a day inc brolly and table. One street back from hotel you go up some stairs to the lift up to main shopping area and square. Lift costs 50 cents each way, which is def worth on the way up, but it closes at 930pm. Asked at reception for a late checkout and it cost €23.50 but meant we could have a day out then shower before we left at night. People on reception very friendly and very helpful. We took the train from airport at €1.70 each very easy. A taxi from station to hotel €6. Exit station at the square look to your left you will see a pizza place where taxis sit opposite. Will return to this hotel again.

Right on the beach front. Nice apartments, spacious and reasonably quiet considering the resort is quite hectic in school hols. Beds very comfortable. Staff helpful. Even piano bar lively. Good resident singers.Don,t normally go in for that sort of thing but found it very entertaining.

Great location - less than 50 metres from the beach, in the centre of the Torremolinos promenade and offers easy access to the town centre. Apartments are very clean and are serviced every day. There is free Internet access throughout. A problem occurred with our reservation (slight mix-up between the booking agency and the Bajondillo), but this was quickly resolved by the Reservations Manager, Miguel.

My friend and I stayed here for a week recently. I could not fault the facilities, location and service provided given the price that we paid. The free shuttle to and from the airport was efficient (even though our flight was delayed by over 3 hours on arrival). Our flight home was a late flight out, and our bags were stored after check-out free of charge until we needed them. The rooms were spotless and serviced every day. The in-room facilities were better than I had expected having read previous reviews. Both bath and shower, fulfilling both our preferences. Although there was no kettle there was a selection of pans which were more than adequate to make teas and coffees. The fridge was under-counter size and a tray provided to make ice-cubes if required. Tea-towels and tablecloths were provided as well as glasses, cutlery and crockery for 2. Although we did not try and cook a meal here, there was plenty of room to make snacks and sandwiches. When buying food/drink supplies, I would strongly recommend using the supermarkets off the sea front. There are 3 supermarkets near the bottom of the steps up to the town centre which weren't much further to the apartments and much more competitively priced than the sea front ones (for example 95 cents rather than 1 Euro 50 cents for a 500ml can of San Miguel). There is also a Tapas bar a little further up the steps (El Dorado) with a sun terrace offering pints of San Miguel for 2 Euro, and tapas between 2 and 4 Euro - much cheaper than a lot of places we found, and the food and service was great. All these are right out of the hotel at the seafront exit, as is the licensed tobacconist (which is closed on Sundays, although the bar next door had a vending machine). We ate breakfast in the hotel 3 mornings at 8 Euro per person - really good value, and the choice was fantastic. Also they served breakfast until 11am, which suited us very well. We loved the huge terrace overlooking the pool and you could just move around to where the sun was. Sunbeds with mattresses were 3 Euro a day, but we just took our towels and laid on them. We didn't avail ourselves of the in-house entertainment, but if we popped to the bar for a night-cap, everyone seemed to enjoying themselves. I was pleasantly surprised by Torremolinos and would definitely visit it, and the Bajondillo Apartments again.

I read the reviews and was a bit apprehensive about staying there, when I saw the room I was really apprehensive. The room was old, but here are the big buts, the room is big and comfortable with comfortable beds with a small 2 burner stove and half refridgerator. The balcony has a spectacular view and the location of the hotel is great. The staff is absolutely terrific. Cedric at the front desk. should be working at the Four Seasons. His recommendations for dinner were perfect, reasonably priced and the food absolutely delicious----the magement needs to give him a raise! Obviously, we fell in love with the place and I highly recommend it,

Our first stay in the Bajondillo apartments in Torremolinos was in 1988 and we have stayed there every year since and some times twice yearly. We have made a lot of friends there who return year after year like ourselves, so this is fairly indicative of the standard of this hotel. It is spotlessly clean, very well located and just across the road from the sea. In fact we have taken many sun holidays and this is the only hotel that we have stayed in ,where you wake up to the sound of the sea. It is very close to the main shopping area and close to many wonderful restaurants, a big favourite with a lot of Bajondillo guests is the Bistro Europa which is just across the road. Bajondillo have also a great cafeteria where you can enjoy a sumptous breakfast for just €8. The staff are very friendly, pleasant and helpful. It would be impossible to name them all, but the owners Christobel and Juan are extremely charming and pleasant men, also manager Miguel, and Sandra and not forgetting Trini. They do everything they can to ensure your stay is enjoyable. The grounds and very well maintained, and there is always a strong security presence. I have to agree with fellow trip adviser contributors, this hotel is basic, but then the prices are so reasonable, one cannot expect what one is not paying for. I give this hotel five stars , because for ourselves and thousands who return there each year and have a fantastic holiday, the allure of the place surely deserves it.

The rooms are dated and the hotel/apartments aren't luxury by any stretch, however they are clean and well equipped. Location is great across the road from the beach and near the lift up to the town centre.

One negative is that they dont offer non smoking rooms. We were given a room which was stink with stale cigarettes however reception gave us a different room straight away and without issue. The free wifi in the complex can be a bit temperamental.

I have stayed here many times due to price and location and I look forward to my next stay already.
